I'm thinking of doing a Canadian theme or maybe an Italian theme, or maybe I should so something more fun and creative, hmmmm, I can't decide.

the wiki link b.vicious posted about the notable sandwiches has me thinking... I don't want to commit to one theme but without some sort of planned structure i will probably fail at mofo like i have the past two years. 3rd times a charm, right?

I failed at last year's mofo so I'm thinking we'll try again this year. But maybe themeless? I don't know!

I've done it every year- it's actually what got me to start my blog! Like Liz said, last year we shared and it was really fun.
My theme for this year is going to be "Stuff I've Canned and How I Use It". I'm really excited about it and all the themes that you guys are bouncing around. Every year it gets bigger!

I have my month of daily themes planned out and am starting work now. There will be balls. It may indeed be the best mofo ever.

Theme or not, I find the best way to avoid MoFo fail is to have a lot of posts outlined, and maybe a few pre-written that you can fall back on for those days when everything goes wrong and you just don't have time to blog, let alone think up an idea.

It's MoFo! It's supposed to be fun. I do lots of work in advance. I usually only cook for myself a couple of times a week and eat leftovers a lot so there's no way I'll have a gourmet meal 30 days out of the month. I can't eat that much food. It's about sharing vegan food, food culture, ideas and having fun with it.

Oh brilliant! I have two weeks off coming up soon so I might sit down and do blog outlines and a bit of planning then so it will be easier to manage the month.

I need to try to do it this year. I'm on vacation the first week in October, but the rest of the month I'll have to try and update my blog regularly.

I think I'm going to pull from the Panda-guidebook and have a couple of days a week that are thematic, like once a week with a recipe post, once a week with a cocktail or mocktail pairing, once a week with a certain regional food, date night meal, old favorite meal....still working on it.

I love beans and rice and am also on a really tight budget. I have no idea what I am going to do this year but I am sure it will involve some pantry scavenging. I had an a-z ingredient list I wanted to challenge myself with last year and I've only done 3 or 4 so that might also be part of it. I want to do some pies too. Yay for mofo!

I've been so lazy with my blog this year, I think I've only blogged about 3 times. Maybe I'll try to do MoFo this year.
I have so many cookbooks and some that I've never cooked a thing from so I might make that my theme. Recipes I've never made before.
Not sure I can do a whole month of that though as i'm basically cooking for 1 and that'd be way too many leftovers to handle. Maybe I'll do it twice a week and think of something for the other days.

Maybe you could use leftovers as your theme, make half recipes of things so it doesn't get too silly & pick recipes where the leftovers will transform into something else. Like risotto one day = arancini the next, cookie dough one day = cookies the next.

I started my blog just a little before MoFo last year, and I think I blogged myself out and haven't touched it since. Ooops. I may try again this year, but I suck so much at writing down recipes, and I don't measure as I go along, just sort of chuck things in, so maybe I'll just do photos of stuff I've made, along with vague directions?
