I just decided I want to MoFo this year! I got inspired as I was falling asleep. I am going to do an Adventure Time/Bravest Warriors theme. So I'll make some recipes, but it'll probably mostly just be writing about the food in the show or food inspired by the show and then people could use to have an Adventure Time party!

I'm trying to convince myself to participate, and am thinking that a theme would help. I have to do something simple though, as September is going to be crazy busy for me. I was thinking I would go through my spice cabinet and make something featuring the most underused ones. I bought a TON of spices and seeds for Indian food last year, and some of them have never even been opened! Pretty sure someone has done this before (coldandsleepy?), but it's something manageable for me.

We're doing a Seinfeld theme! I have soooo much work to do before Mofo starts.

I'm thinking of using a different cookbook every day (mostly to justify the fact that I bought 5 in the past week, even though I already have at least 10 I've never used). It's my first MoFo, though, so I'm worried that might be too ambitious.

I think this is a great idea! (I only wish I'd thought of it first, since I also have too many cookbooks that I never open!)

I'm going to focus on cooking French stuff. I find it hard to get excited about French food (I've been here for seven years now), and I'm hoping a bit of a challenge will help inspire me. Plus I'll do my usual 'good places to eat in Paris' if I run out of cooking ideas/money to buy ingredients.

My first mofo - I'm excited!

I'm doing an Adventure Time theme, maybe with a few special Bravest Warriors post. There is a lot of food in those shows!

I'm planning on baking (and frying) on a budget, with an emphasis on scones, hopefully incorporating some foraged food (my phone takes better pictures outdoors!) and working my way through books from the food section of the libraries I visit.

If I have time I'm going to cost all the recipes up, and try and work out the calories as well, since I'm also going to be on a diet. I think I'm going to have to take most of the stuff I make into work, so maybe I can get my colleagues to score my efforts too!

So many good ideas!

I'm going to do Mo-Fo for the first time! My theme is Old New World; I'll be focusing on pre-colonial recipes in the Americas. They're foodways I'm not really familiar with so I'm excited to learn a bunch.

I'm excited for this. I love looking at old cookbooks. Though I'm feeling sympathy for all the mushy vegetables you'll be eating.

Wow, AV, that's so awesome!

I'm doing weekly themes again including Mac 'n Cheese Monday, Travel Tuesday, What I Ate Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, Facsimile Friday, Snoozeday Saturday and Football Food Sunday.

I love the trailer (even though I've never seen Mad Men)!

I don't really have a theme - as I'm moving about so much in September it's a little tricky. However, I'm thinking about it as I love what so many other people are doing.

I had an idea for a theme, but as I'm away so much in September, I don't think I could do it properly myself this year. If anyone else likes the sound of it and fancies giving it a go, they're more than welcome; otherwise, I'll save it in the ideas box for Vegan MoFo 2014 :)

I thought of it while reading the Guardian website, a newspaper which has a regular food section (most days I think) with so many meat-based recipes and dishes. What I would love to try would be a kind of 'veganising the food section', where I take whatever recipes are included in the paper that day and veganise them. Obviously this would work for any newspaper, local or national, with a regular food section.

What do you think?

Wheee so excited. I decided back in the spring to do as many mofo posts as I could veganizing things Monica et al. made on Friends, and now I see that TV Tuesday is one of the themes! Perfection.
(PS, OMG - How psyched am I to make the English Trifle/Shepherds Pie????)
I also have a lotttt of restaurant reviews to put up, so they'll take up the other days, for the most part.

I love the Guardian's food section, and have actually veganized a lot of stuff from it on my blog; it's fun!
