@johnp - I must have missed the url for your blog. Which would be ?????
Ten Talents is a hugely important cookbook - possibly the most important vegetarian cookbook EVER (really, EVER). It has been in print continuously since 1968! (My copy is a 44th printing).
But I digress :)

I have been hesitating about joining MoFo because my blog isn't a food blog either. True to form, I will probably jump in at the very last minute, completely unprepared! I need some goal oriented activities going on. This seemed good and I do eat a lot. I also hope to get back into reading blogs regularly. I will probably have one day that is not about food-related activities.

I suffered through my last MoFo due to poor, well no planning at all. It's hard to pump out that many blog posts without any planning. So this year I have a loose idea of how I'm going to do it. I plan on doing some recipe reduxes, lots of food porn of course, listings of things like: books vegans should read, recipe books that I love (That means yours Isa!), and themed food posts such as Mexican Food and Casseroles. I think I am also going to re-post some oldies but goodies as certain old posts of mine get hit over and over and over again. http://catcows.wordpress.com/

This is my first time participating and I hadn't really thought it out, but I think I'll come up with a plan this week so I'm more organized. I know I'll do something for the election, but I'm not sure what. My dad is running for office and we're going to a party on Nov 2 and I'm bringing vegan food to that. And I'll probably do some sort of giveaway of stuff I've made (as in something I've sewn, not food). Beyond that I haven't thought it out. I better get busy...it's almost November.

This is the first year I'm participating, and my blog is very new, so I thought this would be a nice time to get into blogging. I do not have a theme unfortunately, but I will try to come up with fun posts anyway. I think some of them will be about me using and eating pumpkin for the first time ever.

I did some online grocery shopping tonight and came up with a weekly thing to do - mix v scratch. I bought 4 mixes (lemon drizzle, gf chocolate chip cookies, gf muffin/sponge, and swirl cake with tub frosting). I'll make one box and the made-from-scratch version each week and compare on time taken, yield, and taste/texture. I'll probably have to take them in to work or have people over for all of them (because Mike and I can't eat, for instance, 2 cakes in a week...well, we could, but we shouldn't).

I'm thinking about dragging out some more old cookbooks, the one's that I first used as a vegetarian. I actually purged 80+ cookbooks recently but hung on to those dust covered gems that saw me through those early days when all you could get at a restaurant as a vegetarian was a pale iceburg salad. Now that I've moved into the vegan life I want to revisit the classics and veganize if need be.

Last year I made a lot of great food but I wasn't blogging so frequently as I wish (every 3 days instead of everyday) so this year I really want to post everyday. But I still don't have a theme. I was thinking about traditional Polish dishes but I still haven't decided if they are supposed to be 100% traditional or with some "world" twist? Also I'm not sure if I am prepared to stuffing all those pierogis and golabki!

You guys are making me nervous! I have no plans. I thought about reviewing cookbooks, since I wanted to anyway. I figure I can get a two for one by reviewing then repasting to Amazons to help rate up my favorites.

I've got different themes for each day of the week, and I'm leaving Weekends Wild to do whatever (or to do nothing, LOL).
So looking forward to my 2nd MoFo! So much more knowledgeable about food and nutrition now, and feel so much more part of a community. Totally stoked!

Mr. P blogs at http://i-40kitchen.blogspot.com/. thank you, Ms. Pandacookie! Dave, sorry to miss your question. I love 10 Talents! I had to pre-set my first 5 mofo posts due to a business trip, and I believe 10 Talents will appear on Nov 5.

I found a really cool Australian vegan cookbook, and plan on working my way through some of its recipes for MoFo. This'll be a challenge in itself for me, as I'm so bad at following recipes without tweaking, but therein lies the fun!

I want to donate 1/2 of my earnings to my local food bank because they are absolutely and positively rad beyond belief. seriously--they provide quality whole foods, many vegan items, and have several community gardens in our town that provides the pantry with organic produce during the spring, summer, fall months. they've helped me in my time of need and i want to give back. the rest of the money will be parted between another charity and helping me get to that vegan blogging conference i'd like to go to, but cannot afford. i know people think 1,000,000 sounds like such a crazy number, but i like to think big. it's not impossible. i just have to spread the word to as many people vegan and non-vegan as possible.

Holidays/birthdays/events.. Since my blog has a theme at all times! haha. I've got Day of the Dead, Thanksgiving, Veterans Day, and Black Friday (because that's an official holiday)! My boyfriend and I will be having our 6th anniversary next month, as well as his birthday. So I'm sure I'll be making food for those. Then I'll probably throw in some Christmas plans/preparation along the way. May even have a little Halloween spillover at the beginning of the month. It was semi-easy last year, because I just got to post about Halloween all month. This year will be more of a challenge! I'll be blogging at Very Vegan Holiday.

Thank you for all the ideas. I am new here.
I have a few giveaways planned and want to get a few more. Who doesn't like those?
I will be blogging my usual stuff but more emphasis on food. I eat lots of raw foods and I am thinking of doing some raw versions of some other recipes I've found in MoFo. I also want to get into some recipe books I haven't touched yet (raw and nonraw vegan).
