Not only would it be a great collection of recipes and a fundraiser for a charity, but a way to introduce vegan cooking to non-vegans. I know people who would buy something like this (sort of grassroots) that would never buy a traditional cookbook.

I agree, this would sell really well to people who wouldn't otherwise buy a vegan cookbook, since everyone would have family members or friends who'd want to buy a copy to say they know someone in it! But I think it would work better as a series of zines - each course a different zine. I would be up for it!

I love the idea! I'm sure I'm alone in this secret wish, but I used to love those plastic spiral-bound church/school cookbooks and have fantasized about a vegan one for a long time.
I would be happy to test some things. I'm great at making other peoples' recipes but not so good at coming up with my own.

I'm not using tags on my blog, but I love the idea - especially if it's for charity!

This needs to happen! I'll definitely submit recipes for it.

this would be epic, like a multi-volume, continuing-into-infinity cookbook series. someday my kids could contribute to a veganmofo cookbook/zine. this makes me happy.

This sounds awesome. Although how would we possible be able to get all the recipes tested in time?

This would be awesome. I'll have to attempt to actually measure stuff one of these times and make a proper recipe.

I really like the zine idea! If it's cheaper maybe some people who wouldn't normally invest in a cookbook would buy it! Although I *do* like glossy photos...egads!
