my dad has charged my sister and me with choosing a restaurant for Mother's Day brunch or lunch. we're planning to drive into Manhattan and park at the Port Authority, so we're looking at probably the 20s up through the 50s, preferably on the west side.

i thought about making a reservation at Blossom in Chelsea (we've gone there for my birthday, and everybody liked it), but my mom would probably prefer we went to an omni restaurant, and i'm having trouble finding one with decent vegan options. any recommendations?

never mind. we're going to Beacon on W 56th, and they're going to make me a cheeseless pizza.

resurrecting this thread for Father's Day. my family wants to go to Almond, but the menu appears less than fantastic for vegan options. can anyone give me some other omni restaurants that are good for vegans?

is it for brunch or dinner? that menu pdf was tiny for some reason. maybe it's just in Chrome, but i couldn't read it.

if we did go to Almond i could probably pull together a few sides or ask if they can make me something. i just wanted to know if anybody could suggest a better alternative.

Nothing on that site wants me to click it.

Are you looking for a specific neighborhood? How fancy? Josie's is on the west and east sides and they do a pretty decent tofu scramble.
