I'm going to be making a trip to the nearest Fairway soon. What should I get? Sometimes I'm looking for an ingredient and I'll think to myself "I bet Fairway would have that" but now that I'm actually going to be in the area I can't think of anything.
So far my list has speculoos (because calcuhater said she got it at Fairway) and preserved lemons (because I have some Morracan recipes I wanted to try and I don't feel like waiting to make my own).

What else do you find at Fairway that you can't get at normal super markets?

The Fairway in NJ has the Wildwood unsweetened soy yogurt. It's the only place I've seen it.

Fairway has Speculoos? I'm going to have to look for it next time I'm there.

I've bought the wildwood unsweetened at Whole Foods, too. It's so good and so unsweetened!

The one in Brooklyn has really nice olive oils and a pretty spectacular olive bar. I buy a lot of staples (flour, sugar, etc) there too since their prices are good. To me the best part about Fairway isn't that it has things I can't find elsewhere, but that I can find everything on my grocery list in one store.

I like Fairway for the spices too...they have house-brand and a great variety. There's also a pretty big gluten-free area and good Asian and British sections too!

they also sell candy lentils,in a package, with the ingredients,which are in fact vegan!

and i can't believe i was there on monday and didn't know about speculoos!
