i've never been, and haven't heard a huge amount about this place. how easy is it to blow through $40 at this place? is it worth the money?

Thanks, Tofulish! I just bought one.
I really like Sacred Chow. I usually spend $12-15 per person there, so I wouldn't normally get to $40, but since between me and whoever I'm dining with, I could easily get to $30, I think adding drinks or dessert or an appetizer would make it $40. I think it's a good deal if you go with someone and each end up spending $10 (before tip, etc).

Tofulish is that where I went with you? Bc I loved that place! Also, is that your referral link? Bc I saved the email I got this morning and was about 20 seconds from buying it just now but I'll buy it from your referral if so, why the heck not.

Yes! It was where we had lunch and the food is so good! Plus, I love that it is run by a former social justice lawyer who has a passion for whole foods so its not the fried mock-meaty dishes you can get elsewhere. You can get a lot of food for $40 - unlike Pure, where $40 off means you're still paying $50 pp for 2 people ($20 off each). Here is the site: http://sacredchow.com/

Darn it I got distracted and forgot. Probably for the best though, since between NYC and Philly I have too many groupons to use before they expire at restaurants so out of the way.

if i did get it, i probably would be going by myself, and i don't think i could eat $40 worth of food in one sitting.
