I am bored with all of my usual spots over here. Especially since Boneshakers is gone (sob)
Does anyone have favorite brunch spots in Williamsburg/Greenpoint??

apparently they had to close for some rent reasons or something, but they are serving food at Champs. That's what I heard a while ago anyway.

Oh, interesting. Supervegan confirms that too. I wonder if they do brunch at champs then?

I haven't been there yet, but Pine Box Rock Shop does a waffle brunch. BAD Burger has vegan brunch options too.

We head to Champs about every weekend, sometimes twice. They have the same food as Boneshakers did, plus all the goodie treats and now are serving Brunch Sat & Sun!

Do you find that Champs has enough seating for brunch? I have been worried because it is so much smaller and boneshakers' brunch tended to be mobbed, so I thought that there wouldn't be seating.
I looove Boneshakers and Champs, but I am extra sad because B.S. was so close to me and I was there constantly.

I will have to check out Pine Box Rock Shop and B.A.D. I haven't tried BAD because their yelp reviews are pretty poor.

I went to cafe royal, yesterday, which is by my house and owned by the Papacitos/Standard/Label people, but the tofu scramble was so over salted that it was barely edible. I think they even put salt on the toast. I am actually afraid of Royal because they gave me regular milk instead of soy in my coffee once... like a year ago.

you guys, you can still get all the Boneshakers brunch food at Champs now-and plus at brunch now you can get brunch meal food and brunch pastries food, like and there's always 4 different varieties of big and fresh cinnamon rolls!and dansihes and other brunchy sweet stuff, and this weekend there was some savoury baked goods, like spicy cheesey pepper biscuits, and chipotle cornbread!

oh also, there are seats out front of the bakery and a few on the side, and i remember on easter, the first weekend that there was brunch there, it was miraculously like 75 degrees that day (if you remember the day before easter, there was like a monsoon, and then it monsooned again easter sunday night...) i went outside and there were all there people and dogs eating brunch outside on/ near the sidewalk, so if you ever go to brunch there and it's really busy you can always sit outside, and there is extra chairs in the back, you just need to ask somebody for it/them.

Champs doesn't seem nearly as mobbed as Boneshakers for some reason. Maybe it's the lack of cocktails.

Pine Box Rock Shop's vegan waffle brunch is out of this world (especially when paired with the bloody mary's). Life Cafe in Bushwick is pretty good too, especially their tofu rancheros, but it gets mobbed as well.

What is this BAD burger and why didn't I know about it?? Not a ton of vegan options, but doesn't look bad either. I will definitely keep this in mind next time I'm brunching with omnis.
