The Brooklyn Public Library is holding a 24-hour read in from 4 PM, Saturday June 11 to 4 PM Sunday, June 12 in front of the Grand Army Plaza library to raise awareness for the budget cuts impacting the library and encourage people to show their support.
I'm thinking of going some time Saturday afternoon/evening. Anyone else going?
Also, what should I read? I'd like to do something kid-friendly (though not necessarily a children's book) that sends the message of respecting all species, but it doesn't have to be an explicitly AR book like
That's Why We Don't Eat Animals.
