popped into cocoa v for the first time. what a charming place! i was informed that renovations are starting shortly for a transformation into a full scale vegan bakery. (we also had a great chat about triumphs & trials of vegan baking!) the menu will include artisan breads, cookies, scones, etc. SO flipped over the brownie sample. address: 174 9th Ave (between 20th St & 21st St) New York, NY 10011 Neighborhood: Chelsea reviews

Oh man, no way! That's so awesome! Do you know if they'll be shutting down for renovations or staying open? I work relatively close by and like stopping in for a hot cocoa occasionally.

I was here and overheard they'll be closed for three weeks following this Saturday, and will re-open on Feb 6th.

But ... I'm in NYC this weekend and was going to go on Sunday! Last time I was there I didn't have cash (why are they the only Blossom restaurant that doesn't take cards?!) and I really want a Butterfinger bar. :(

I would call ahead, tell them your situation, and ask them if they could (pretty please) hold it at Blossom next door for you since they are in the middle of a big change. Or, you can see if they distribute them to sell wholesale anywhere, and you can find one there! Either way, hope nothing stands between you and a big ole' hunk of chocolate deliciousness...

I know, not helpful now. :-) I just wanted to post something to make sure my account doesn't get closed!

Oh my god, I WISH they would take cards. Do you know how annoying it is to buy $50 worth of chocolate in cash?? Not that I've done that or anything... and there aren't any convenient ATMs nearby.
