I met up with a few Vida Vegan Con bloggers after the NYC Veg Fest for dinner at Soy and Sake.

Collard Green vegetable rolls (with soy "ham")

Classic BLT (with tempeh bacon, L + T and vegan mayo)

I heart comfort food.

I love Soy & Sake! My mom always wants to go there when she comes to NYC with me, and we order a ridiculous amount of food. And everything is always good! Our favorite is the avocado-mango boat.

One of my dinner mates ordered that and it looked incredible!

I'm going tonight. I'm so sad it's closing.

GAH, DAMMIT. i know it's not always feasible, but i wish restaurants would give you more notice if they're expecting to shut down. i didn't eat there on my last visit to NYC because i'd already gone there a previous time and there are just SO DAMNED MANY PLACES to try. i would have gone again if i'd known it would be my last chance :(

So jealous of anyone who got to go tonight. I am so so upset! I really hope there's a chance that it reopens in a smaller space.
