Recs: ONE vegan dinner in NYC?

I'm going to be in NYC in a couple weeks with my omni mom, sister, and mother in law. I'm going to tough it out at regular restaurants most of the time but I want to take them to one vegan place and I need it to be really good, to prove to them my diet is not boring!

I was thinking Candle 79 (I have been there before, but only for brunch), but is somewhere else better?

Hmmm I kinda disagree! I was super disappointed with Candle 79 (we went for brunch), I didn't think the food was all that great and the service was super stuffy. I thought both the food & service at Blossom on Carmine were way better.

I like V-Note a lot better than Candle 79.

Candle 79 sounds great but I haven't eaten there enough to say.

I have however had many meals at Blossom and they have great food.

Just stay away from veggie burger type things because those can be plain sometimes.

Some of my favorites have been:

Tofu scramble, lasagna, seitan scaloppini, porcini cigars, cape cod cakes, caesar salad, phyllo roulade, and the desserts are great too (:
