I was in Brooklyn over the weekend and couldn't find a vegan place to eat that wasn't Ital or Chinese (not that there's anything wrong with either of those things, just not what we were in the mood for). We wound up going into Manhattan. What gives? Where do vegans eat in Brooklyn?

Williamsburg, greenpoint, park slope and bushwick all have lots of options. Look on supervegan.com

yeah, supervegan will be your friend! brooklyn is HUGE! there's definitely parts that aren't super vegan friendly, but others definitely are.

Awesome. Yeah, supervegan has many more listed than happy cow. Any favorites in Park Slope or Flatbush?

Just reviving this thread to ask about hotels in the Brooklyn area. Anyone have recommendations?

Your best best is to look on air b&b, I think. Most hotels in the area are super expensive and you could save your money for things like food and museums! I live in Greenpoint and have a friend who lists her place for a pretty fair rate. If money is no object, the new(ish) hotel in Williamsburg, the wythe hotel, looks pretty and has a pretty good location.

Also, there's vegan food aplenty all over brooklyn, accidental or purposeful!

Thank you! I'm just trying to plan a spring break trip with my kids! We want to eat good food and visit a museum or two! We are on a budget. I'm not sure what 'air b&b' is but I'll look it up!
