Ditto what mumbles said. Get a steamed bun, too!

ridgewood! so far the only place i've heard of in queens is coco lin, and we liked that a bunch. we're less than a mile away from bushwick so i'm excited to explore there some more. going to have to convince myself not to eat bunna every day.

Why would you ever convince yourself of that?

I'm in Ridgewood also! (I know I know, my thing still says Brooklyn, I was lazy to change it after our move this past summer).
Not related to pho, but related to food in Ridgewood - so far I've found the only vegan takeout/delivery is really Coco Lin. We moved from Greenpoint where we had many options at our fingertips, and I was really sad when we first moved. Coco Lin is a nice once in a while thing, but (I feel) super over-priced. Anyways, the up side to that is that we don't really do delivery any more - it's forced me to examine my fridge/freezer/pantry for the times in the past when I would have just said, there's nothing to eat! I'm feeling tired/lazy! Let's get tacos/pizza/sandwiches/chinese/japanese/thai/etc etc etc. So, bright side!
And also, hello neighbor!

yaaay Ridgewood in the house! yeah it's a super bummer not to be able to get anything but Coco Lin because I'm not a big fan of much there oh except the ubiquitous chicken nuggets that I'll forever associate with Veg Paradise. Can't really get into them more than like twice a year though. On Fresh Pond Road there's several Japanese places as well as a couple hip-looking taquerias but not much looks vegan and I get skeptical about trying to order stuff vegan on the phone or Grubhub etc. However I'm about to have a slew of omni houseguests over the next few moths and we'll inevitably end up having to do takeout so maybe I'll be brave and test the waters at like, Taqueria Kermes or something. Otherwise oh yeah cooking 3 times a day everyday, it's been good for us but I get so stuck coming up with menu plans that aren't the same ol' stuff.
sorry end thread hijack now!
