I've found grocery store vegan baklava in Astoria (c town) , but not in bakeries. I asked in a few bakeries, but they either didn't know or definitely used butter. But also I moved away a year ago, so everything may have changed

Yeah my supermarket (East Village) carried vegan baklava but I've never seen it in a restaurant.

Ohhh... I'm happy to get it from a grocery store. If you know the names of the stores, please let me know and I'll check them out. Thanks!

I remember this brand, Grandma-G's. I got it at C Town on 28th ave in Astoria, but like I said that was more than a year ago, so that's probably not helpful information anymore.

On Steinway St just past Ditmars Blvd is Victory Sweets Shop (next door has a Victory cafe, too).

you may be also be able to find their baklava and other vegan items at Trade Fairs (the Trade Fair on Broadway & Crescent Street regularly have it). very very delicious; not sure if it was psychosomatic but the ones i got from the shop tasted better but it could just be they were fresher.

Also i have actually had the Grandma G's from the Foodtown at Steinway (between 34th & 35th Ave) from a few months ago; excellent, it was.
