Hey folks, I'm in New England visiting my mum and my STUPID CUTE nephew, but on Friday I'll be in NYC with my boyfriend so we can have some fun and also visit some places. I am looking forward to eating some tasty food.

However, I'm technically working remotely, and I need to be able to sit down and do a little work and possibly have some quiet calls. Can anyone recommend somewhere, ideally in Manhattan, ideally below Central Park? Tasty coffee is a must, and if there's good vegan snacks I can munch on, that's GREAT.

I'd like to go somewhere more enjoyable than a Starbucks, but I'll do what I gotta do.

Thanks!

My recs, based on recent needs for tablespace and outlets:
23rd street: http://www.brooklynroasting.com/cafe - has a vegan chickpea collard wrap my partner dugged. and A+ to the coconut chia pudding (both packaged, but made for them)

LES: Spreadhouse Not as typically terrifying to fight for a seat at, and has plenty of outlets. Has a $$ vegan-friendly avocado toast (who doesn't) and great coffee: http://www.yelp.com/biz/spreadhouse-cafe-new-york-3 Lots of vegan food options in the area.

the Bean has decent coffee and quite a decent offering of vegan snacks, a few locations downtown. Can get pretty full with the laptop crowd though, and I wouldn't call it quiet.

Native Bean is another place I like. They have tofu spread for bagels and I like the unpretentious atmosphere there.

Thank you folks! :) We had a great day and will hopefully be back for a longer stay soon so I can eat my way through NYC.

Seriously came here to ask this same question!! Any suggestions in BK/Park Slope? Naidre's has been my go-to, but while the food is great, the hours suck. Would be so happy to find somewhere that stays open a bit later...

The new(ish) Gorilla Coffee location was almost entirely empty when I stopped in there last month to do some reading, def later in the day, it was an hour or two before closing: http://gorillacoffee.com/pages/locations
