Just debating that with the man. For us, no. Not thinking they'll be doing their best cooking at this stage. I started mourning the loss of Counter a couple of years ago when they tinkered with it too much.

yeah, i don't think it's much worth going, unless you're there for brunch. before they start running out of things.

I've only been there once. I got the scramble and it was kind of bland, but in a healthy feeling way. I'm not rushing back, even though I think their daily specials are a cute idea. Body & Soul isn't vegan, is it?

I would love to know more about why she couldn't make the 1st Ave space work. Of the many EV veggies places, it was one where you could get a more high end meal, at least originally. Not quite a Candle or Blossom, but something in that direction. Of course all these places are rare treats for me because of the economy, so maybe that's a factor.

In the beginning the seitan tornados was sooo good, but only for a year or two, then it changed and was rubbery. Then when they took the macademia nut caprese off the menu recently it was the last straw. I wouldn't bother going back.

they are not 100% vegan. i like their brunch, but when they changed the menu a year or so ago they took my favorite thing off the menu and i've just been ok with it since then.

Counter is still open. I've been there for brunch a few times recently and the most recent time one of the waitstaff said they weren't closing until June, so I guess that's the new date?
