I've never been there. Is it any good? Should I go before it closes?

Just debating that with the man. For us, no. Not thinking they'll be doing their best cooking at this stage. I started mourning the loss of Counter a couple of years ago when they tinkered with it too much.

yeah, i don't think it's much worth going, unless you're there for brunch. before they start running out of things.

whatever you do, STAY AWAY FROM THE KETCHUP.

I've only been there once. I got the scramble and it was kind of bland, but in a healthy feeling way. I'm not rushing back, even though I think their daily specials are a cute idea. Body & Soul isn't vegan, is it?

SuperVegan lists them as 100% vegan.

I would love to know more about why she couldn't make the 1st Ave space work. Of the many EV veggies places, it was one where you could get a more high end meal, at least originally. Not quite a Candle or Blossom, but something in that direction. Of course all these places are rare treats for me because of the economy, so maybe that's a factor.

Me too. In the beginning the seitan tornados was sooo good, but only for a year or two, then it changed and was rubbery. Then when they took the macademia nut caprese off the menu recently it was the last straw. I wouldn't bother going back.

they are not 100% vegan. i like their brunch, but when they changed the menu a year or so ago they took my favorite thing off the menu and i've just been ok with it since then.

Apparently Counter is still open? Is that true or is their website just old?

What's wrong with their ketchup?

Counter is still open. I've been there for brunch a few times recently and the most recent time one of the waitstaff said they weren't closing until June, so I guess that's the new date?

they put cinnamon in it. when i had it, the tomatoes must have been pretty crappy because except for the cinnamon, it was pretty flavorless. YUCK.

Wow. That sounds horrifying.
