I've been to NY plenty of times with kids and along but never with just my husband.
We're visiting next Tuesday/Wednesday for our anniversary. We're staying in midtown. We need ideas! I said I'd plan something we could do together but I am struggling for ideas.
The criteria: -Vegan (no vegetarian restaurants or omni restaurants, we are pretty strict on ourselves with food prep etc.) -No alcohol -We're almost 30 and almost 40 so nothing aimed at 'young people', our kids are young people (early 20's) and we are old people, we like old people stuff. - ha! -We've been to the MET, MOMA and the museum of natural history a million times.
I need an idea... any idea would be helpful.

i'd probably go to Candle 79 if it's your anniversary. and then I'd go to Lan Cafe and Lula's for Vietnamese food and ice cream. Maybe see a broadway show?
and also almost 30 and almost 40 isn't old!

For restaurants, I'd recommend Blossom in Chelsea for somewhere fancy and/or Candle Cafe. Angelica Kitchen is also good. For activities, there's ice skating in Central Park.

Candle 79 is romantic. Maybe the museum of sex if you want to spice things up haha. (I haven't been, but have heard it is actually very interesting).

I have heard good things about the museum of sex too. Maybe you should check it out!

The Museum of Sex can be fun, but like most museums it depends on what exhibit is on when you go, so check the site to see if it appeals to your interests. I love Candle 79 and Lulas so I don't really have anything else to add.
