Arriving this coming Wednesday, leaving the week after on the Friday! My only real goal is to go to the Met, as there are some things there that have a family connection.

I'm staying with a friend - who is being by mutual friend by a beautiful coincidence - and basically mooching around spending money I don't have and meeting people I vaguely know from the Internet haha

I'm watching this thread though I will be here in May. Same things I need- thrift store type stuff (thrift store where i can buy a bunch of shiitake, not just one really fiiiiiine designer jacket, if you know what i mean); a place to get a new vegan briefcase, and of course some decent lunch with you folks at least once.
