Anyone been to V-note yet? The boy and I just ordered it in and we are impressed! I got the BLT with mixed greens, which is a really yummy. It's got fried tofu, tempeh bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The boy got a vegan bacon cheezeburger with fries. OMG. It is the most amazing veggie burger I've tasted in years. Usually veggie burgers are pretty meh, but this is all charbroiled with portobellos on top. It was also huge, so next time we'll probably split one.

Anyone else been there? Recommendations?

I have a Living Social voucher deal to use before July, never been. Also curious to hear recommendations.

I think the key is to order sandwiches. Everyone I know who's gotten a burger has been happy, but when I went for dinner, we all got entrees and almost none of us were happy (I got the ravioli). This was several months ago, so they may have gotten better.

I got lasagna from there that was sold at that Natural Frontier market on 3rd Ave at 80th, and it was really good.

Went to V-Note. We split a seitan quarter pounder with fries. It's definitely big enough for two and was very good (not as good as the bacon soy burger though). I was disappointed by the prices on their deserts. There's no way I'm paying $10 for sliver of cheesecake when I can get a huge slice of Vegan Treats for $6.

I wonder what kind of vegan cheese they use.

This Wednesday and Thursday, they're giving 10% of their receipts for Farm Sanctuary, so I'm getting some people together and finally using my damn Groupon. Woo!

Going Saturday for brunch with my groupon and my omni/'foodie' brother and SIL. What should I get? Why are its juices $7?

Also - can anyone comment on the service/slowness of brunch on Saturday? They open at 12 but we have to be out of there by like 115. Is that possible?

I forgot to review my last visit. The food improved SO MUCH! They learned how to use salt! Everything was delicious and we all went home happy and satisfied. I had the lentil rings (they were great, but not rings), seitan scallopini, and we all had the fondue dessert. We didn't care for the chocolate/melon combo, but everything else was awesome.

Which makes it really unfortunate that I have qualms about supporting them after what happened in the BDJ thread.

I agree with the post above. I went last night and ordered the seitan schnitzel appetizer and pistachio-pepper crusted tofu and really liked both. All the comments posted in the Blossom thread under the fake username do really turn me off and make me not want to support them though, especially since I have many other restaurants to choose from.

I went last Saturday for brunch and my omni/foodie brother and s-i-l LOVED it. I thought it was really good too. They wanted to go to BDJ Sunday...I've been before but I'm REALLY not a fan. The mac & cheese (which was neither) was revolting.
