Seriously, for those of you who find the texture of Clif bars to be too dense (I thought they were, and usually opted for Luna bars because of it), try microwaving it for 10 to 15 seconds. It's unbelievable.

Mmmm, those sound really good. Now I'm sad that I can't try them.
But now I have this microwaved cliff bar thing to try.

Ok, I'm now officially confused by CLIF. I thought most of their flavors were vegan, and I read the ingredients of the ones I bought carefully, but I noticed lately when eating a couple (the Maple Nut and the Chocolate Almond Fudge) that the little kosher symbol underneath said "Kosher: dairy". (They were my last two bars, so I can't check if that's on all of them.) Rereading the ingredients, I couldn't find any dairy in there, so I ate them, but I'm confused. I grew up in a Kosher household, and things that didn't contain meat or dairy were labeled "Kosher: parve". Is this kind of like saying something may contain traces of dairy/nuts/whatever to cover their asparagus? Or am I missing something in the list?

Also, I recently ordered a box of the Peanut Butter Pretzel Mojo bars from iherb. I read the ingredients on the iherb website and they seemed safe. Today I went to the CLIF website and on the page for this flavor it says "honey roasted peanuts" (although it just says "organic peanuts" in the ingredient list). When I go to the Mojo FAQ page, though, the only flavors they list as containing honey are the Honey Roasted Peanut and Chocolate Peanut. And this flavor comes up in the search when narrowing items down to vegan options. So now I'm confused. Is this just a mistake on the website? I guess the only thing I can do is contact CLIF and ask them but I'm wondering if anyone else thinks these are weird inconsistencies?

ETA: Ok, never mind the first paragraph. It just occurred to me that they CAN'T call something Parve if it was made on a machine that may have also been used for a dairy item. So yeah, they're following the Kosher laws correctly by labeling it "dairy" even if there's no dairy in it. I'm still confused about the "honey roasted peanut" marketing on the Peanut Butter Pretzel Mojos though.

When I did the Team Vegan running thing they gave us massive quantities of CLIF bars, blox, gels, and drinks. It was pretty rad.

I'm bringing this thread back to life because I bought some CLIF bars when I was in the US last month and I only just tried them...OMG, yum!! I really like the Chocolate Brownie one but the Peanut Toffee Buzz is definitely my favourite. I think I'll be ordering some more of these from IHerb asap!

The coconut chocolate chip is my fave, sadly I can't eat them anymore because they aren't gluten free. My husband is obsessed with the Blueberry crunch. OBSESSED!

I heart the maple nut ones. I've been thinking of ordering a big asparagus box of them from iHerb too.

I like the new Luna cococonut chocolate. The new Clif kit bars are way yummy! They are like Lara bars but without the aftertaste*. The peanut butter one tastes like a cookie!

*maybe I am the only one who thinks Lara bars have a bit of a rancid aftertaste?

They've just started selling them in my local HFS, but for a discouragingly high price (£1.99 a bar!). I know they're imported and I know protein bars are expensive but no no no. I need to find black marked Clif builders bars...

Can you buy a box instead of individual bars? They should be cheaper that way.

They only had singles and they were still too expensive to really justify buying.

Anyone tried the new "Dan's panforte?" It's their 20th anniversary flavor... soy-free, fruits, nuts, spices, delicious!

The apricot flavor is the bomb. I also love the white chocolate macadamia one. I may not have survived finals week without peanut butter toffee buzz (caffeinated...)

Yeah, it's good! The candied ginger pieces are a nice touch.

Correction: They work out at around £1.11 each provided you throw in something else that weighs around 1 lb to make the $6 shipping worthwhile.

I was hoping the title was a typo and this thread would be about Cliff and his magical rollerskates.
