I had my interview. I'm really glad I already have a job, because I always choke at interviews. I always forget to mention something that would make me sound awesome, ramble about pointless things, and say "like" and "um/uh" too much. I probably won't find out for a couple of days if I make the short-list to meet the president. Oh yeah, I expected to interview with someone from HR, and the bleedin' Chief Executive was doing the interview! I hope you make the short-list! Fingers crossed. Oh and it's Nottingham. Thanks for your thoughts, veg_eric. I would happily move if the situation was different, but the last year or so has been difficult. At this point I'm not ready to leave everything here (would have to fix up the house some more and find a lodger too) for a relationship that might be ending. Either way we still have time to work this out. He starts there at the end of july, but has a 3 month trial period. The earliest I would move, would be october then.

I'm so forking bored. Work is absolutely dead at the moment, and although it's nice to only be working 11-3, the 4 hours I'm here I've got nothing to do and it's so dull. I am doing a wedding planning course through work so I'm working on that but I'm sick of reading about forking weddings and picky brides. GAH!

After losing touch with the guy for a month and worrying that I would have to come up with another awesome birthday gift idea for biker boy, the chalkboard artist finally sent me a mock-up of the Maker's Manhattan chalkboard. It's sooooo amazing! And has biker boy's name worked into a "bar" logo. I. Can't. Wait. to give it to him on his bday!

I'm currently trying to convince my bff (American, lives in Newcastle) to come up here to see Reginald D Hunter (American comedian) during the Festival Fringe. I've never paid for a Fringe show (and usually got what I paid for), but I'd pay to see him.

It's the whole I could be getting so much done if I didn't nap feeling. But ya know what, it feels damn good to nap sometimes. And that makes it worth it. This past Saturday I woke up at 9, ate my breakfast and sat on the couch, and then went back to bed at 10. Took a nice 3 hour nap and said well damn I guess I wasn't ready to wake up that early.

I normally don't listen to talk radio but was flipping the stations on my radio and this lady was on talking about how $250k/year is not wealthy in California. I was like what the hell... tell that to the people who live in the same area and make minimum wage.
