Albuquerque is the anti-Seattle.

Yeah, it is pretty dry here. You need water and lotion.

We're in Albuquerque until Saturday. Then we go to Roswell for a day, Carlsbad (and the caverns) for a day, and then White Sands/Alamogordo for a day. Then back to ABQ for one day, then back home.

Happy trails!

Its so weird to see photos on the ppk that aren't of food, babies or preternaturally gorgeous vegans.

Flee from that foul town as quickly as you can! Run for your lives!!

Im just bitter because some croissant stole all my bands money out of my suitcase there years ago.

Also last time I was there I found a giant butcher knife in the street.

Alien crash site! Ask if you can dip your footprint in the crash crater and take a picture. That would be my first order of business upon arriving in Roswell.

Like all (all) vacations involving extended family, this is extremely stressful. My mother, in Mrs. Face's words, is "a steamroller." Everything must be planned. Little time to wander. I get caught in the middle. But on the 30th, the Family Face goes out on its own.

Yes, I just returned from a family "vacation" and was so stressed by my return home that I was sick as a dog and laid up and voiceless for around five days and needed time to recover from my "vacation".

At least you get vacations! The only time I get to leave town is because of some obligation or another that ends up draining my PTO and savings. Looks pretty neat, though but I don't see myself going any time soon. I've spent more time in the desert than I care for.

Santa Fe really is a wonderland for a 9-year-old boy. The galleries! The jewelry! The churches!

Santa Fe is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Drooling on that turquoise.
