Wait, that's just what you'll be eating, not what they'll be serving.

Some sort of grilled vegetable mixture...maybe zucchini, mushrooms, and carrots. With steamed rice on the side or plain pasta. Oh, and a salad too.

I'll be the really cynical one: steamed cauliflower with a sprinkling of black pepper; minus the slab of salmon obviously and recently removed from the top, salmon oil swimming in the watery broth at the bottom of the plate.

What I got once at one of San Francisco's fanciest hotels!

I'm going to go with dressing-less salad, "pasta primavera" (ie, oily noodles with roasted vegetables) and no dessert.

I got the same salad as everyone else: iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, a couple cucumber slices, one or two cherry tomatoes. There was a questionable balsamic dressing. The bread was good. I ate several slices of whole grain bread with sunflower seeds. My main dish was steamed veggies (broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onions) over a mix of white and wild rice. I think kittee got the closest:

Much to my delight, I got a delicious mango sorbet for dessert.

I think this is a regional thing? People have complained about always being served stuffed peppers as a default before but I've never in my life been served a vegan stuffed pepper that I didn't make myself. I'd die of happiness.

You got a sad salad™! Why do people insist on serving these?

Probably cause they are made out of cheep veggies that don't go bad as fast as some others? Or cause they are afraid of serving anything that anyone might not like so they default to the blandest denominator?

Yeah I'd love a stuffed pepper. Last time I had a stuffed pepper was when I was in Greece (10 years ago) and was tired of all the food served when a meal was ordered so I started ordering appetizers and the stuffed peppers were awesome. I wasn't vegan though.

So I'd love a stuffed pepper.

Now I really want to make some stuffed peppers.

So I'm googling recipes.

Oh yes. I think most people take that as the generally accepted definition of the American salad. My kingdom for a garbanzo bean!

I'm impressed by your dessert, every banquet I've went to I've been served salad and a stuffed pepper, no dessert.

I've secured a grilled veggie sandwich for an event later in the month. We'll see .... oh events!

Something with eggplant, mushrooms or zucchini, because that's all vegans eat. Likely they will be poorly dressed and over/undercooked.

I really hope we are all wrong!
