What time are you going to the supermarket?

not even. she explained it eventually, but, i mean . . . just read the text before you send it. read it one time. it takes seconds.

I'm sorry, Amey! Can you put together some sort of last minute trip? Like, somewhere in the us or canada you've never been to? Or a camping trip?

I hate accounting (I'm just not organized enough for it even though I love math) and my whole day at work has been making accounting schedules (not my usual job). I feel like crying with frustration even though they've all worked out just fine and I'm just about done now.

Amey - so sorry to hear about the vacation - can you take the money you're presumably saving and put it toward an awesome local experience you wouldn't normally splurge on?

Okay I don't know why I didn't read this correctly, but at first I thought you were asking your phone "what tone are you getting to supercomputer?" because you got a text you didn't understand and I laaaaughed and laaaaughed.

These people are the worst sort of nincompoops and deserve the scorn of a thousand commuters!

I get jealous when my friends hang out with their other friends.

I think this is more of a 12 year old problem than a first world problem?

My paycheck is super late, and now, a couple of my bills are late. I could have and would have not spent money on some stuff that would have ensured I had bill money had I known I'd be getting paid so late, but I didn't, and now I have to make sheepish phone calls. My check should arrive today, which means everything will be fine, but I'm nervous that it will be delivered to the wrong address (things mailed to me are always getting sent to the wrong address), or that it just won't arrive today, in which case, I will be kind of screwed.

The upside of this is that I haven't had to worry about this kind of thing in a long time, and I DO have enough money to cover things. I just need to get a bit better buffer built up, after my move depleted my savings.

I'm making a cake to take to work and I've substituted a home-made gluten free flour mix which I've never tried before, and I'm about to make a cashew cream-cheese frosting which I'm kludged together from 2-3 different ideas and now I'm kind of stressing out that it won't taste very good and I'll be mis-representing 'free-from' type food by my own ineptness.

...and as feared, my frosting experiment has failed. I'm going to have to go and buy more icing sugar tomorrow and then just put some lemon juice in and kind of do a drizzle over. Booo.

bought a store brand dark chocolate bar that was on sale. the kind with a "hint" of sea salt. normally i really enjoy those. i love chocolate! i love salt! but this was more of a declaration of, "heeeeeey salt is here to ruin your tasty chocolate!" blugh. i wanted to spit out the bite i took, but like a fool a sucked on it hoping the overpowering saltiness would wile away. i was left with nothing but the sweet, deceptive aftertaste of dark chocolate on my tongue. oh, salty sweet, i will not let you trick me again.

It is 3am here and I just looked down to see a small red worm on my leg. What the fizzle? How long has he been in my house? How did he climb on my leg? Why am I oddly charmed by his attempts to seek comfort with my finger as I rescue him from the floor whence he fell*

*"rescue" in this case meant "get him the heck out my house in a gentle yet speedy fashion"

I had leftovers and there was more then enough for one serving but not enough for two servings so I ate it all and it was too much and now I'm not going to be hungry for awhile and I have more leftovers I should eat for dinner. :( :( :( So sad.
