I am tired of listening to stories about the storm of '87 and how the 80 mph winds that are due to arrive later today will not be as bad as that ... I was not here in '87!

Damn it, I want a vegan doughnut so badly right now. One of my roommate just started working at Dunkin' Donuts, and he brings boxes of day-old doughnuts back to the house, and I'm just like. . . cool, now where are the vegan doughnuts? It won't be long before I'm having Homer Simpson-style doughnut daydreams (complete with the drooling).

DAMMIT, I forgot that one of my goals in Boston was to find a doughnut and eat it! I guess I had more important goals. But still! I want a forking doughnut.

Finding vegan doughnuts should be at the top of everyone goal list. Doughnuts are the best thing ever.

So I want to go to bed, but I have a midterm Wednesday and I didn't get as much studying done this weekend (read: like none....) as I had wanted, so I feel like I should stay up and at least go over the vocab. But sleep....

My boss will not be in the office at all today. And that means I need to settle on a book to read at work. I can't pick just one!

My friend bought me this fancy expensive smoked salt back from holiday that I was being really careful to eke out really sparingly, right before I managed to knock most of it onto the floor. So now I'm trying to still use the bits that aren't actully touching the floor because I can't bear to waste it and because I can't afford any more fancy salt.

Also, my courgette is slightly bitter.

I am bemoaning the lack of mouse for my laptop at work. It makes toggling between all the stuff I am trying to do more cumbersome than I want.
I just want to be lazy while I am at work... darn it!

So I really want to eat all the awesome looking candy in my Vegan Cuts box, but I don't want my daughter not to have any treats for Halloween and I'm afraid I might have to use it to swap out some of her nonvegan candy.

People who eat with their mouth open/make chewing-slurping noises while eating really bothers me. This is the 3rd day in a row that I've eaten lunch (all at different times) that the same person comes and sits near me and does this. It's super annoying!!

Lies. I never really understood doughnuts prior to being vegan. They are ok? I guess. I rather have a bagel than a donut. or a cinnamon roll or something else.

I put two dehydrated-cup-o-food type things in my desk drawers a while ago so I wouldn't have an excuse to go out to dinner during work. Today I packed lunch but not dinner (I do one volunteer job from 9:30-1 and then go to my real job from 2-9) and I was pretty excited that I had an excuse to go out (even though I super cannot afford it) but then I remembered that I had those so I am begrudgingly eating Dr. McDougall's Black Bean and Rice Soup. It is not great. It is also 160 calories and I will probably need several more dinners after.

Yes, this is the annoying thing about fast & easy vegan food... they always happen to be the 'healthier' alternative ingredient-wise so they also feel compelled to make everything low calorie.

Today my problem is that I did not pack my dinner for work today so I have to go out and I don't know what I want because there are too many vegan options in downtown Portland. SOMEONE HELP.

I want breakfast. My slow cooker breakfast was a fail. I have nothing else to make & don't want to go to the store.

I can't find my chocolate thermometer, just my general cooking one. I was too lazy to go and look up tempering instructions, so I hope the gift I'm making (chocolate penis with chopped-peanut-covered testicles) doesn't come out streaky.

I was going to say something here, but decided not to do so.

I think we're going to need photographic documentation of the finished product so that the PPK can judge for you whether your testicles are too streaky.

Those things were on sale 4/$1 at Grocery Outlet recently, so I bought a bunch of them to keep at work. The lentil is actually pretty good. I use less water than it says, though. I started packing a couple of thick slices of bread to go with it, and it made a decent lunch.

I scored some second hand winter boots for less than half the price of new, and they're so unused that I'll have to break them in. Bring on the blisters.
