I started listening to a John Douglas book about FBI profilers and the narrator kept saying Quan-Tee-Ko. I had to stop after only a chapter and request a refund from Audible.

Ha! Understandable.

(My best friend was telling me about a lecture she went to at the printing museum where the lecturer kept pronouncing it "muh-zee-um" and she had to leave.)

The battery in my kitchen scales just died and I apparently don't have the spare that thought I had, so now I have to MEASURE OUT the peanut butter for the cookies I have to make by VOLUME like some kind of animal.

Yesterday there were chickpeas at the salad bar so I filled my bowl with lots of them, only to discover mid-eating that they were full of okra pieces so I had to spend half of my lunch picking disgusting slimy pieces of okra off my otherwise delicious salad. How anyone can like okra is totally beyond me.

I wanted to get Earth Balance cheddar flavor popcorn at the store today, but they only had butter flavor! They were on sale, too, but I wanted the cheddar flavor! :(

Did you go online to find my iphone to make it ring? It will also show it on a map.

Accidentally got up an hour early, because apparently I can't read a clock. I could be sleeping right now! Terrible.

Crisis averted. Cookies have been made.

Now my PSP is that I don't have any of my favorite kind of almond milk to go with them.

THIS IS A THING?

Will it ring even if you have it on silent? This is amazing.

So I want to go home to get dinner, but I also need to study. If I'm in the living room at my apartment, my roommate will constantly come and ask me random questions. But I won't be able to study in my room, cause I will be like bed and go to sleep.

So now I'm both hungry and not studying while I try to figure out my dilemma.

I just ate nachos and now I want dessert but I don't have any and I don't want to go back to the store that is two blocks away because I just went to the store for nacho ingredients a few minutes ago!

Also there was a new (I think) brand of vegan gluten-free cookies made in Bend at the store and I considered buying them but they were super expensive so I didn't! Clearly I made the wrong choice.

I keep trying to convince myself to actually do my French homework, but it's pass/fail and I'm getting A's on all the quizzes and exams, so I don't really need to do it all, but I've also missed the verb quizzes we've had, but I just don't care because it's worth, like, no part of my grade and the program for it sucks something awful.

I did and I kept making it make a sound but I couldn't hear anything, and I was certain CERTAIN that it was not in my car (it was in my car).

The Fringe is starting this week and Edinburgh is full of people trying to thrust flyers in my face every time I walk anywhere. Last year I was in Brazil for the whole of August so I'd forgotten how dire it is! Only 4 weeks to go ...

I'm mad that the oldies (60s and 70s) radio station I listen to always plays the Hall & Oates (1980) version of You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling instead of The Righteous Brothers (1965) version, which is a thousand times better and actually falls into the decades the station is supposed to cover.

My bus was 35 minutes late and my feet hurt like a mofo from standing in line for 40 minutes at the end of a long workday. The bus driver let everyone on for "free" but that's not much consolation when you have a bus pass. I feel like i'm trapped in an Alanis Morissette song: "It's like a free ride when you don't have to pay..."
