I head to Alberta this morning for scone-ly adventure and thrift store. Then Sweetpea later for some tea and cookies for an afternoon snack. It is sunny and gorgeous out.

A bunch of us Texans have been trying to raise money for Sunny Day Farms, our animal sanctuary here in Texas. We have been having a terrible drought and a record breaking number of 100 degree and the cost of hay has doubled and they have already lost one animal.

We made an awesome zine (that mollyjade and I finished last night!) that we are going to be selling around town in atx and in Portland. Here is more info

It has really awesome Texas themed recipes including Wheatsville's famous popcorn tofu (!) and Molly's jackfruit brisket so look for us wandering around. I'll be easy to spot since I am hopping along in my ski boot looking cast.

A panda is selling a zine that will benefit Sunny Day as well! I hope to buy both.

If I can't figure out how to do it for real online I am going to figure out a way that people can just send a self addressed stamped envelope to me and donate online to Sunny Day... but not until next week!

I'm so damn excited right now! Pretty much packed. Dreading the flight because my fear of flying is like woah.

But so excited. Flight lands just before noon tomorrow, and it's pretty much a non stop foodgasm and/or party from then.

I land just after noon tomorrow! Can we meet at the airport (mostly because I have no clue what to do or where to go when I get there)??

i'm the room rep for a whole bunch of exciting people (including several ppk'ers like FootFace and jordan and erika and joanna), and i'm pretty psyched because that means i get an official excuse to introduce myself and make friends.

How frickin nice. I already purchased a rental car, though. Haha. Stupidest idea ever. Had no idea how great the transit system was until I got the car.

Louzilla, I can totally wait for you and take you where you need to go if you'd like. The only plans I had was to call the friend I'm staying with and figure out where we're eating first. He lives by the mini mall, so I was gonna be in that area if you wanted to come? Or I could drop you off somewhere? Whatever works for you. I have zero in the way of solidified plans until the meetup at Vendetta. I can't believe this all starts tomorrow!!!

Aww, not a problem! If there is a batch of PPK'rs coming around the same time needing a ride from the airport, let me know! I'm just so darn excited to meet all of you.

Amtrak rolls into downtown so it would also be easy to catch a bus or tram down to the PSU center.
I beleive there is also a cheap-ish shuttle that runs from the airport to downtown.
