I know the conference will be busy and amazingly food-filled but do any of you guys have other eating plans? I think I'm attending a late tasting dinner at Portobello on the Friday but I also really want to finally try Native Bowl and...what else do you recommend? I loved Back to Eden and Bye and Bye...so I'll be going back there. Are you guys going to the Bye and Bye on Thursday? I hope we make it down in time for that. I'd love to check out Kitchen Dances too. Portland is such a stressful place to visit when you are trying to fit in 87 meals over a weekend.

Am I allowed to pop in here? I AM SO EXCITED. Particularly so, because I think Katiejayne is coming, too! V, breakfast and lunches are granted, not from exciting Portland restaurants (it's been a tricky and complicated procedure and we went from working with potential on-site restaurants to catering) BUT, they are included for everyone at the conference. We had our first tasting yesterday, and I'm feeling really positive about them. There are raw, gluten free, soy free, and nut free options at all meals, and the focus is on local produce, naturally. Saturday's lunch is set to be BBQ/Picnic themed, and Sunday is TACO. That one word in 4 capital letters really says it all. The spicy soy curl filling we sampled yesterday was the bomb. Aaaaand, Saturday night's Galarama & Silent Auction (which is included for all registrants & speakers, with tickets open to the public http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=118935814863758) is gonna have pizza from Sizzle Pie, Bridgeport kegs, mini burgers from Ecovegan, Gardein tenders, raw wraps, salad rolls, and more and more and more.
