Highlights for me: sharing a HGS burrito and fried oreos with Kelly and Lauren, Colleen's call to compassion, gettin' crazy on the dance floor, watching JV cuddle with my bag of soy curls, and meeting as many people as possible.

That bag o' curls was hot.

You're pretty sizzlin' yourself.

VVC was amazing- I'm inspired to blog more than once a year now, and meeting tons of ppkers inspired me to post more often!

Loved meeting y'all!

Erika and I kept repeating the same thing over and over: It's not like we expected it to be a shiitake show, but we were completely blown away by how much fun we had, and how AMAZINGLY well organized it was. I loved meeting every single person I met. I loved the food. I loooooved recording with some of y'all. Oh, and I loved the Bye and Bye.

All in all, a totally drastic weekend.

I, too, was blown away by how well organized it was. They thought of everything. From my side of things, everything went perfectly and smoothly. I give it an A+.

I was really impressed with the organization, and even more impressed with how well they dealt with the few problems that came up.

It breaks my heart that I was one of three people that could actually hear Louvella's routine. And that's only because my ears learned to squint, or something. Kittee and I already have big plans for the Gala next time (OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG)!

Yeah, that is really the one thing I can think of: the sound at the Gala was not good. (And the meeting rooms were really hot.) Except for that, perfect.

Still an A+.

It was a great weekend! I ate a lot. I drank a lot. I met some rad people. I made awkward conversations. I jumped around when speakers talked for too long. All in all I had a great time!

Portland was too hot. That is my complaint. And now it is already fall in Bellingham.

I heard Louvella's routine! It was hilarious. I am sad that I did not meet Agnes.

you're gonna love this - duh, we want you to, and someone made it into a spreadsheet! it kinda scares me and I started reading it and going 'omg, we tried to that', or 'omg, we DID that', or 'omg, we didn't expect twice the attendance at the gala and sizzle pie forgot to cut the slices into halves and why did the event space only have one person on hand and sucky sound' and and and and...so...I'm not reading yet, because over all, I'm still on a super vida vegan con IRL buzz and want to do this forevs.

In true Pacific Northwesterner fashion, I was melting in the heat. Anything over 75 is too hot for me if there is no salt water to swim in.

In one of the panels I sat in, somebody said, "It's easier to criticize than to commend." Case in point!

I think you guys did a fantastic job, ESPECIALLY for a first time event like this. A lot of those things mentioned were beyond your control! And don't get me started on the wireless internet thing....
