I wanted to change my username to "spudclumps,: but decided to just keep my old one. Birds on a wire...pretty self-explanatory.

I changed from spicyveg because even though I liked it I am trying to keep all my emails, usernames and blog junk the same because i suck at remembering things. And vegan food does rock.

I love the autumn. I was a bit disappointed that I was born in the summer instead of the autumn. I thought about AutumnMapleleaf, but that was too long and I am already using that name on a Harry Potter forum. AutumnLeaves seemed perfect. I am sure you were riveted by my name story. I just hope you didn't wet yourself with excitement.

I'm not very good at coming up with usernames and usually end up hating the ones I choose, so I decided to stick with my real name. Which was already taken on the old boards, but not anymore! so hooray for new beginnings.

My dad called me Steffers (well, I suppose he still does) and today I was excited, hence the exclamation mark.

It makes me think of the 80s movie Willow, where humans were referred to as "daikini" or something to that effect.
But I only know about that movie because we named our kid Willow and people kept mentioning that movie.

"Hapax legomenon" is a term used to describe a word which occurs only once in the written works of an author or an entire language. It's also a character in the webcomic Narbonic. I thought it was more interesting than MongrelMoggie.

Mine is just a shortened form of my old name. It came from a metro ad in Madrid that said "Gato no naces, gato te haces," meaning "You're not born a gato, you become a gato." Gato being slang for a person from Madrid. Since I felt so at home there, I co-opted the phrase.

But then I realized how ridiculous it sounded when I introduced myself to people in real life.

I had every intention of changing my name, but I guess when it came down to it I got cold feet. Or lazy. Yeah, probably that one. I got lazy.

In high school, my favorite ice cream flavors were Half Baked and Phish Food. I combined them and it's been my name ever since.

I picked dangersquirrel because I thought the old name was too dull... I think the new name suits me :)

I kept my same name...Stevie is short for my full name - Stephanie. Whole Grain, well, I'm not sure....it just sounded so healthy and full of fiber.

Mine is from a late 20th century animated children's television show about a nearly all male commune living in a utopian village in a magical medieval forest. The character my username is based on was particularly slothful and had a penchant for hammocks which, I must say, I have been able to identify with for some time now.
