Invictus:
Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole, I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade, And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

my dad is one of about 3 people who called me barbie after i got old enough to shave my legs. he would see veganism as a positive change in my life for many reasons. it just helps me feel a little closer to him every day.

I pretty sure that's good enough for me.

I make a lot of mittens. Machen is "to make" in German. I took German in college and have sadly retained very little of it.

I got tired of having so many user names so I thought I'd simplify things and make my ID the same as my real name, Crystal, but after I registered as that I felt weird about it and decided to go with GreatGarbanzo (I always thought that was the best filter ever & I use it as my name on some things outside ppk). But maybe it's more weird having my I'D the same as the filter. I'm so indecisive.

Leba is my older dog's name and Leba Lu is her favorite nickname. I have no recollection of why I chose this name. I suppose that given the material I had to work with - my camp name was Mutt; my school nickname was Crash; my cb handle from when I was a kid and trucker speak was all the rage was Cheerios - I just went with the dog's name. At least she's a cool dog.
Internet cleverness is a skill that I am still working on.

I wanted to change my old user name to the same one that I use for my Blog and Twitter account.
My home town, Brisbane, acquired the nickname "Brisvegas" when it got its only casino about 15 years ago.
I am a vegan from Brisvegas, hence BrisVegan.
What? It's punny?!
