I was on a plane last weekend. it blew my mind. I just stared out the window at the wings and flaps and stuff for so long. and I've flown toooons of times before, so it was hardly a revelation. still amazes me though

The earth is rotating. All the time. Right now.
Gravity.

Not only that everyone was once a baby, but that a baby comes out, and then continues to grow into a large human being.

bodily functions

Not only rotating, but revolving around the sun. At this very moment we're hurtling through space.

I think about how everyone was a baby a lot actually and it does blow my mind. Also how everyone will eventually die.

This blows my mind regularly.

I've flown a billion times too and the whole thought of how it works and what is actually happening blows my mind every time.

It also blows my mind that I can pick up the phone & talk to someone on the other side of the world, that I can interact with people from all over and get instant information through this thing called the internet!

this summer the secret to burrito eating was revealed to me. when your beans are all bunched up to one side, you simply rotate the burrito!!!!. Mind blown big time.

The sun will burn out one day. So earth won't exist as we know it. That always freaks me out, because we all know the earth will probably be forked long before then, but if it's not - it will be then. You can't recharge the sun.

And I am always astounded by the size of space and things in it.

if we built a telescope so powerful we could see another universe that contained sentient life, we could very well be seeing them 3 million years in the past and by the time we got to them a thousand civilizations could have risen and fallen and their entire solar system could be a wasteland.
I guess a better way to say that is: Space is really forking big.

Yeah this really freaks me out.

Also the size of the universe. I just can't comprehend it.
