I saw Marilyn Manson rip out pages of the bible and eat them on stage last night...It made my night...However someone broke my toe in the crowed.

"DON'T YOU KNOW THE BIBLE IS BINDING?!"
is your toe OK? hope it doesn't hurt too much. [i broke my big toe some years ago and it was an amazingly painful experience, for part of my body that should be used to being smashed into things and stomped on my horses]

marilyn manson split my lip with a poland springs bottle when i was 16. it hit me in the face and bounced all the way back to the drum set. my friend jumped up on stage to get it and manson kicked him square in the chest, and he had a bruise in the shape of a bootprint for two weeks. he did manage to flag down a roadie and get that bottle back at the end of the show, and it had a dent in it where it had hit my face, and you could see my blood on it. we were all pretty pleased. ah, 16.

Best thing, maybe waking up in my crush's bed and having coffee brought to me. Maybe it was having brunch with a really good pal. But I think actually it was me doing some household chores and thinking... I've been lusting after septum piercings for ages now, and monetarily I'm doing alright this month... fork it I'm just going to get one right now!
And now I'm all septum pierce-ified.

My husband made us a delicious belated valentine's dinner tonight: chickpea piccata, caulipots, spicy thai green beans and a quinoa salad. He's not a super confident cook, and was pretty stressed. It was wonderful to have someone else cook and heart-warming to see how much effort he put into it all. Plus, it tasted awesome!!

My friend finished chemo! Her progress along the way has been great, so we're hopeful about the PET scan on March 4th.

I went to a show, and when it ended I asked some venue employee if the screenprinted show posters were for sale and he gave me one for free! I was all ready to spend like $20 on it.

Finding out that at a recent family gathering I wasn't at when my omni sweetheart's omni mom (omni momni!?!?) said "Vegan food? Nobody wants to get that!" my omni nieces both said "Vegan food is just food! It's delicious!"
Now I've typed omni about a hundred times today and I <3 my nieces to pieces.

I talked to my friend Pranesh about names for his daughter, who is due in about a month. I learned a bunch of new little girl names, including Urmi! (Sanskrit for 'wavelet', like a little wave of consciousness.....) I kinda sorta hope he and his wife choose that one, even though the other names I saw were also lovely.
And then continued to make plans for Shivaratri with the Amma group in Amsterdam. We're trying to talk the Chief into organizing an all night thing from the 9th to the 10th of March ..... and I think he finally agreed? I hope he finally agreed. That would be Awesome.

I went by yesterday but he wasn't there. I was gonna go by again today but then a fire alarm happened & I didn't get the chance.

I had to go food shopping today (for the past couple days I have been eating things like lettuce sandwiches on expired bread and bowls of plain green beans. Delicious.), but I really did not have a lot of cash. I was in the store, buying dried beans and store-brand pasta and trying to add it all up in my head to make sure I didn't go over budget. Then I remembered that I still had an american express gift card from xmas that had 40 bucks left on it! I got to buy a bunch more food and it was exciting!

Starting a new volunteer gig! I drive shelter dogs to CO to pass them on to rescues and foster families. Where I live is a terrible place to be a dog, so I'm so excited the dogs I drove today are getting out of here!
