Two way tie between finally feeling like I'm starting (starting) to get my unbelievably long academic/career/daily life to-do list under control and an afternoon dance party with my kids.
Some days I just feel so forking lucky to have 2 weekdays where I'm home with them. Relatively soon, I'll be working full time and man, I'm going to miss the dance parties.

I am currently reading and grading my creative writing students' graphic novel projects. I just laughed out loud SO HARD at one of the brilliantly amazing ones that the janitor actually checked on me because she thought I was in pain.
IT IS AMAZING.

Seriously about the only thing that has gone right in my entire day: I think I finally made a breakthrough with this project I've been working so hard on for a month and a half (and which is due in 2 weeks). There's work to be done still but now I can prove I am heading the right direction.
It is a really good best thing, because I have been so forking stressed about the possibility of not getting this done by the deadline/this method not working out.

Wahooo! Songwriting times ahead!!
I had a new idea about our band that Mr8 is really into and a talented German recording engineer/producer friend offered to record us next time he is in England.
I just finished my taxes! I'm getting back more than expected, which is awesome.
Me too! And I saw Leonard forking Cohen tonight. And he moved me to tears, as always.
Jealous jealous jealous!
I found out three more of my poems were accepted for publication! It's in my university's lit journal, which is student-only, but I'm still pretty psyched.

My first croissant in years! There was a bake sale at work and one of the guys on my team (David Stowell, the author of Veganopolis) made pain au chocolat. So flaky and delicious! He brought me one for free, but I bought a second because I don't know when I'll have another croissant again. Also, yum!
