We went to trampoline crossfit class and while I was doing it it was horrible but now I feel amazing and sleepy and I'm looking forward to crawling into bed.

Trampolining, though: not for people prone to seasickness! I didn't feel suuuuper queasy, but I'll probably stick to other classes in the future.

I have tonsilitis or something gross and feel like shiitake but it was totally worth getting out bed yesterday and dragging my arse to london to see Matchbox Twenty, because they were freaking amazing!

After not being to able to find them for over a week, I found my glasses this morning. A morning where I needed them so badly. My day, consider it made.

This is actually from yesterday but, I have written 2/5 exams so far and I think I did really well on both of them. The one I wrote yesterday, I knew the answers to every question. I'm really excited to get my grades back in those classes!

I just started some annual leave. I don't go back to work until the 29th.

I'm going to do four sewing projects (two adjustments of existing garments, one new skirt and one embroidery project), learn a dance routine, sort my understairs cupboard out so it can be a pantry, catch up on Game of Thrones, lounge about, look after plants and guinea pigs, workout and eat a lot. Fuuuunn!

I made curtains! I'm eating peanut butter mochi! The football schedule came out today so me & Nick were able to book our flights to San Francisco! Nick's going to be bring a friends kitty home after work so that we can look after him whilst she's away for the weekend!

I can't pick, today is an all round awesome one!

Getting to leave work early due to the worst blizzard in years. The police have shut down most of the roads and highways in the region. Traffic lights have blown over and you can see hydro lines down all over. Total mess !

So good to be home, baking Isa's ginger flax muffins, and sipping Earl Grey.

I totally gave myself the whole day to be indulgent. I ate a bit too much, read at the park, watched lots of Mad Men, and was basically unproductive. I figure that I'm on my period and Boston/Cambridge was basically locked down, so why not? I rarely take a FULL day just for me. Usually it is a few hours at most between work and social stuff.

I did a lesson on adding suspense to writing with my special education resource kiddos today. It was themed on Dr. Who. So I got to watch Dr. Who clips at school all day.

Yep. I went full on nerd. And the kids loved every second of it.

I've been umm-ing and ahh-ing about getting equipment to set up my own home gym space and going training at 8pm last night clinched it. The equipment there isn't specialized enough, is old, damaged, stained, over-used and under-maintained. I pay £300 per year to go there so it's not really good enough. The £10 per month gyms are in better condition!

So, I bought a set of competition kettlebells and have just agreed on a 20kg olympic bar and set of weight plates from Gumtree. I can just imagine a power cage setup in my bedroom....

Also - my shoulder feels better! It's been really sore for two weeks because of some rib joint problem near my left shoulderblade.

After her show, I leaned toward the stage, cupped my hand, and said "Mirah!" Then she came over to me and I gushed and handed her an envelope with a chocolate and letter in it. Gosh, just knowing I was face to face with her is enough forever.

ahhhhh!! I happened to be in San Jose and a friend from Australia happened to be in San Francisco. he's one of the nicest people I know, and it was super ridiculously awesome that we got to catch up. I cherish my friends and it's _always_ amazing seeing a friendly face in a foreign town. and then (boring story even more boring) I got a limo ride to the airport, which was super strange, but way easier than trekking the BART

A co-worker asked me lots of the old soy/estrogen questions, along with protein-in-my-diet questions, and she seemed as though she was sincerely interested. Whatever the case, I was able to have a civil conversation, make my points, and not get frustrated. Maybe it wasn't the very best thing about my day, but it was a very positive part of my day!

Biker boy and I took the ferry over to the island his folks live on, hung out with them for the afternoon, had an amazing bottle of cabernet and dinner was completely vegan. I just love his step-mom for how unfussed she is about feeding me... either she makes part or all of the meal vegan or she and I collaberate on what she's making and what I'm making, and it's just never a big deal (just the way it should be but we all have people in our lives who make us feel like we're a burden.)
