I communicated with the person who made the inflammatory statement the other day and everything is cool. Yay!

CONGRATULATIONS, smoothie! That's wonderful! Any thoughts on what comes next for your education?

You rock! I'm so happy/proud for you. I remember when you started, how nervous and brave you were about doing it.

I think I am quitting my job today and accepting a new one, but I need to do it by 10 am. Self-imposed deadline. It's 9:33. I am so nervous.

But I get to have dosa with monkeytoes tonight!

I'm working from home today, so after I broke news to a customer that is really going to peas them off, I got to go sit out on my sunny deck, eat lunch, and cuddle with my kitties.

Things have been so awful lately that I am afraid to post, but yesterday I was told that a local church will give us space for GED classes twice a week, which means my classes run through August!

This is great for my students who are so close to finishing and great me because now I'll have money over the summer. Unless the summer paychecks get held until October which is a real possibility, in which case gas money to get to classes will be an issue. Hopefully not.

I did it! I feel so free and excited! The position I accepted is for job security and I'm really hoping that the second one comes through. But if not, whatever. I have a job and I can go home at the end of the night and write, and that is my number one goal anyway!

Grandpa's surgery went well. Excellent.

An oncologist agreed to take on my day's potentially complex case. Also excellent.

Then the following:

Leaving hospital, middle aged gentleman says "thank you". I said "ok"? He said "you're one of the best people I've seen today". I said "ok... You're welcome?" He said "spirit wanted me to tell you you're one of the best souls I've seen today, so thank you". And I said "I will take that. So thank you!"

Today started great. Coffee, sunshine and got the surprise that a fb friend had a baby. I didn't know she was pregnant but I'm happy for her.

Today is also the day that I can say that I lost 40 pounds in 11 months!

That's quite an achievement V_E! I'm hoping to do something similar.

I was brave and asked a woman on the bus what her really lovely perfume was called. She offered me her atomizer so I could try a spray.

I just had breakfast with Lutin! She is super awesome, which was no surprise. Plus, her om, and her sits are, and some cool friends. It was super fun. Now I will listen to podcasts and clean the house. Perfect saturday!

I met amey! (And hugged amey!) She's made of awesome. Also, my friend's super cute little girl (and her little girl 'fro), which I hadn't seen for almost 2 years. (And considering she's 2.5 years old, that's a long time!)
