I highly anticipate your reaction to this experiment.

I think I did something wrong as it wasn't as amazing as those I've been reading about.

I greased and preheated my slow cooker and used half a batch of dough plus toppings. It came out like a mega deep dish pizza, which was good, but it was pretty hard on the outside and we had to leave a bit because it was too hard to eat. Maybe I need to cook it on low for longer, rather than high for two hours. My slow cooker is also pretty small so this may have been part of the problem.

I actually tried to make sure my crust was as thin as I could possibly make it so that that didn't happen. It seemed to work!

I got a raise! totally out of the blue. And even more exciting to me at this moment is that my hubby has gone out to the local cupcakery to get me some fabulous vegan cupcakes to celebrate!!

I'm watching videos being posted from the cyclocross nationals race today where a friend's 12-year-old daughter is competing. She's such a crusher, and a good kid, and as of 4 minutes ago, she was sitting in 4th place! It makes me happy to see such a strong, awesome kid do well, and it makes me happy to see the whole rad family.

My niece was born! My sister's due date wasn't for a few more weeks so it was a complete surprise when my mom told me! Everyone's happy and healthy.

We found office space for our new business, and it's cheap, AND I'm going to have my own office again. I didn't think I would. This is the best forking thing ever.

I got my hair cut short. Think Hilary Swank in Boys Don't Cry. Came home and washed it because the barber's spray stuff smelt like cheap aftershave and it was dry two minutes later! I enjoy having hair again! And it was only a fiver (plus tip).

I love having my hair cut, it dries quickly after swimming! But this year its being grown long. And turned green

I moved all my weights downstairs to the spare room and now have a nice little kettlebell/barbell set up in there. My own gym!

I had a nap this afternoon. I went upstairs to get changed to take the dog for a walk and I accidentally fell into the bed and stayed there for over 2 hours. It was glorious.

Mini meet-up yesterday with cornelie and mr. cornelie, who are letting me stay in an unused flat while I do a short course at the VU.
(PS. If anyone is looking to buy a place in A'dam, I've got a great lead! ;) )

I got out of the house. Ended up getting my contacts ordered (down to the wire there...) and got a nice bargain on a black cotton cable Ralph Lauren cardigan and a turtleneck to go under it,. I'm pretty resistant to anything touching my neck, so will see if I can actually wear it, but it looked nice. It was marked down from $199 to $56. I had one very similar, but in size 3X before I lost weight. I still wear it anyway sometimes, but now I can replace it with one that actually looks good.

It's a nice big, cozy, warm sweater that will be perfect for the freezing GED classroom. I always want to cocoon in something there; my teeth chatter!

Birdies will be excited because their toys and other goodies were in the mailbox. I love giving them stuff that gets them happy and excited. They are a tough crowd.

My BF took me out for a lovely lunch, and then I came home and took a nap with my doggie. Perfect rainy afternoon.

i am such a dork, but i'm sitting here cracking myself up because eppy's dungeon master is out and he left word doc of the story he's writing open on the computer in the middle of a sentence, so i added a little orc romance into it. i mean, it was already about orcs, but they've stopped fighting to express their love to each other. it's embarrassing how much this is cracking me up, but oh well!
