I only just woke up, but so far, this post is the best thing about my day. <3

Also, I love that when I first met Leela, she was eating nooch with a spoon from one of those little shaker jars, and now she's graduated to the big KAL tub. What comes after KAL tubs??

I emailed the department I'm getting my minor in last week to see if I could take one of their seminars to finish out my minor credits since I'm having to graduate early and no other classes are offered before then. The director approved me doing the seminar! This means I get to keep both my minors! Yay!

I'm imagining a gravity fed bin with Leela's mouth right under the spout, guzzling it as it pours over her entire face.

I lied. The best part about my day is I found someone to switch sections with me for one of my classes, so now I can register for a class that means I can graduate this summer AND I'll get my minor. I am seriously about to cry I am so happy.

Taxes done! And I don't have to owe as much as I thought I would (although oddly, we made more income last year, not sure about the discrepancy but taxes done!)

Bulk Barn opened up down the road from me and has so many things! Soy chip things that I think are similar to soy curls! TVP! Nooch! And something called gluten flour that I think is basically VWG! Never mind cashews, sunflower seeds, quinoa and some fancy rices and grains.

Another great £5 haircut! Why pay £50 at a schmancy hairdresser when you can go to the cheapest place in town where the barbers do a great job because they get so much practice? I don't think I'm ever going to grow my hair long again!

Today started with vomiting and safeguarding and ended with righteous forking indignation. We had a huge staff meeting at college about how we can improve, and it was pointed out that upper management decision making was too slow. I asked why it was so slow, using "as an example" an incident of a student in a wheelchair not being properly catered for, naming the Act of parliament that we are failing to be in compliance with and pointing out that she could totally and completely sue us and would win. The first time this was brought up was in about October, and so I asked why a decision like this was taking so long when I knew it had been passed up to management and really there's a very simple and cheap solution. In front of about seventy people including senior management.

Two members of higher up staff basically ran over to me at the end of the meeting and one said "I passed it on, has nothing really been done?" and the other said "it's my job to act on this, why wasn't I informed?".

Ain't nothin' like a public display of cold and righteous anger and an open accusation of neglect to get shiitake done. I'd rather do what's right than be liked any day of the week.

God, I really hope I have a job on Monday...

Waking up and seeing the temp high for today in the low 50's was the best part of my day. Want the rest of this snow to melt and be gone for a long, long time!

Today: I felt good enough for adventure! so I headed North on my bike, into the sun and large canals, and took it one turn at a time. I think I ended up doing 30km along some really cute paths. I had to stop twice to rest -- normally I wouldn't, but normally I also wouldn't have heard so many birds being so ridiculous. Good day is good.
