So glad you're beginning to feel better lutin!

I got new kitchen scales. My old ones were ridiculously innacurate, like they said something weighed 490g and the new ones say it weighs 800! I believe the new ones. Now I'll be able to make things requiring precision weighing without worrying about the amounts being wrong and wasting ingredients.

I was very fed up this morning, after deciding to give up my attempts to save (the vets contributed to that) I went shopping, bought the cat a new bed and got myself a new Calvin Klein coat and some Southern Comfort Cherry. I feel much better now

Not today, but on Saturday I went to watch a roller derby bout. It was great fun, and even though I went there on my own, I ended up bumping into some friends and going out with them to the pub afterwards.

I love Bulk Barn!!!

That gluten flour is what I use to make seitan! Loooooove Bulk Barn.

Thank you for confirming this for me! The only other VWG I have access to is Bob's Red Mill at a Loblaws store so I'm assuming the price per 100g will be cheaper at Bulk Barn. I need to check the price difference on nooch.

there are strange muddy tracks on my back porch. too small for cat and too large for squirrel. too few toes to be anything else. I am thinking mini-chupacabra.

Definitely mini-chupacabra. Set up a surveillance camera and capture it on film! You could be famous!

Did my taxes and I am getting a pretty decent refund which makes me feel a tad more secure about being on unemployment.

NatureBoy's mom just called me to ask about the MRI results (normal!), and then we had a really lovely chat for about 20 minutes. She reminds me of my favorite aunt, and is so, so lovely.

My little boy is finally getting better and is happy again for the first time in a month. I hardly got any sleep in these last few weeks, nobody did really.

I don't know who this person is but they planned to give a homeless guy $1000 in a unique way (losing lottery ticket but telling him it is a winner and conspiring with a shop owner). Then they decided to raise more money for the homeless guy and has raised $30k so far.

I made an appointment with a therapist for tomorrow. I have high hope for this woman because of her approach. Most therapists really want to focus on my past and my "issues with my mother" which are old and over and I've moved on, regardless of how it's affected me. I have much more significant and immediate problems that I need to work on and she seems like a good fit for that! I'm quite excited. I hope it sticks, because I really need it.

I have officially been given the title of Gallery Director today! It's only until the end of the semester, but I'm getting paid almost double (still part time, but STILL), and I get to be in charge of all of the events and planning and stuff! I love planning and organizing things! They're hoping to make the position full time next year, in which case I'll have to re-apply, but the dean of the college said that he thought I was in a good position to get it, even if they do a search.

HUZZAH!

My decision to stay here and try to make it work is finally paying off.

Director Allularpunk! Good for you!

I just finished a project I started about a month ago- with two Pillars of Our Literary Community (editor and layout chief). Both of whom were real Prickly Pears to work with at first but warmed over time. We just sent the book off to the printer's this afternoon, after eleven versions and a million edits, and I got a really nice note from the layout lady today saying that she enjoyed working with me. As a translator it's really rare to get positive feedback for your work or your working habits, so this was really nice. And the book is drop-dead gorgeous.

Congrats AP!

Today was my last day at work, and it was a good day. My colleagues said the nicest things to me, and they gave me a card that they all signed AND a gift card to a vegan bakery next to my new job (which I start tomorrow)!

I told my Grandpa that I've applied to graduate and will be able to attend the ceremony in June, and he was really excited. He went from sounding pretty sad to happier than I've heard in a while. So glad I'll be able to share this with him.
