Caramel and sea salt coconut chips. After the week I had, it didn't take much to make me happy.

This weekend, I've wielded a 25 lb. belt sander like a boss, slept in, had pancakes, made chocolate chip cookies, had a bath, had Flaco's, totally improvised an amazing noodle dish with almond sauce, and drank champagne. I feel like a baller.

Not really the best thing about my day, but pretty high on the list was going to a different store than usual and finding tons of fake meat I had never tried. So excited to try upton's seitan bacon and field roast deli slices!

It's cooled down enough to that after having my windows open and a fan on for several hours my room is actually kind of chilly so it feels good to be under blankets!

I love summer but sleeping in the heat is terrible.

Yesterday NatureBoy taught me a couple of tricks and in 20 minutes had the data visualization thing that I've been dreaming about all year working. (He did all the work. Today I get to try to apply his tricks to subsets of the data.) THEN we went to a gorgeous, gorgeous forest and hiked for 2 hours + swam in a lake for 1. The lake was pretty good --- we found a cove with a couple of kids and splashed/floated/swam and were pretty safe from boats. On the way back, we found another lake, smaller, only spring water, no boats, clear water. I'm in love! I can't wait to get back and swim my heart out.

I applied for the alternative high school position. Considering the complete paralysis I've been operating under, this is sort of miraculous. I could not have done it without the very kind and generous resume proofing and advice from several PPKers!

Fingers crossed. I would be good at this job; its working with kids who aren't at the "regular" high school for whatever reason.

Next week is one of my holiday weeks this summer. The point is, i decided a week ago that i wanted the whole week instead of only the Monday. Problem was that i forgot that there will be a group of New Hires so there would be more work than me and my co-worker calculated. And our back-up co-worker is on her holiday as well. Today our boss told that i could keep my entire holiday and that we will have to work extra hard this week but YAY! I can keep my entire week (and i'm looking forward to it because it will start with a musical festival were i go with my best friend and afterwards i go to Berlin for 3 days with some awesome vegan chicks i met on facebook and the only thing we are going to do is eating all the great vegan food that they have and shop the hell of all the great (vegan) boutiques! New summer shoes galore!!

And now i will have some home made applecrumble and watch Gabriel Iglesias (or James Bond)! Happy Days :) I cannot wait until thursday and the holiday starts!

I officially changed my last name today! I ended up keeping my dad's last name as well to try to keep the peace, so no my name is just ridiculously long, but yay! I legit started crying on the way back to my car looking at the order, I was so happy.

I had an awesome consultation with an RD/health coach and a great appointment with a new eye doctor. It turns out I don't have a sty! I can wear makeup! Oh, the little things that make me so happy.

It's my birthday. We went to the seaside and paddled in the very cold North Sea, had a picnic and also ate cheesecake, ice cream and strawberries, nailed two new songs at band practice and I was give a new EQ pedal for my guitar, Lego Ghostbusters and a beautiful holographic Di Depux necklace that says "croissant" (unfiltered).

Badass North Sea paddling for the win! That sounds like excellent birthday-times, love! Good job.

Wrote a bunch of stuff yesterday, picnic'd in the garden and then drove 2.5 hours (roundtrip) to go swimming in my favorite local lake: It's surround by beech and birch trees, was catching all the pretty sunset colors, has NO boats and crystal clear spring water. It was incredible.

Oh man, yesterday I had to take a drive out to the Nova Scotian south shore for a work meeting and keg deliveries, and it was SO GORGEOUS. I couldn't believe I was getting paid to drive to cool little towns and chat with nice people and marvel at the beauty of Lunenburg and Mahone Bay. My job rules (most of the time).

The oddest thing happened: I stopped at the Starbucks drive through to get a latte (of course) on the way to my job interview. There was a giant white tank of a Range Rover in front of me. When I got to pay, the barista told me the lady in front paid for my drink.

How did she know I was a nervous wreck and need all the good karma I can get right now? I wish she could know that her RAOK hit the perfect spot this morning!

So, thanks lady who paid for my $6 froufrou drink!

The best thing about my day is how insanely comfortable the Uniqlo legging-pants I got in the mail yesterday are.

(Someone on the PPK mentioned them (maybe in the body acceptance thread?) and I decided to give them a go and holy shiitake. The only thing not perfect about them is their lack of front pockets, and I can forgive that because COMFORT. So thanks PPKer who I'm blanking on right now!)

We got confirmation that George Kimble can stay (Thanks to torque for the inspiration behind his second name).
