I just booked a wonderful, romantic, fiscally irresponsible but emotionally justified long weekend in England for my BF and me in November. Just the two of us, with country walks, pubs, plays at the RSC and the Wanamaker Playhouse, and sleeping here (NB we basically have a corner of this place, but still). Suddenly I feel less depressed about another semester of terrible freshman prose!

That looks like a fake place, in a good way.

Survived a kinda awful work week, got paid (always so exciting), and had a really nice night with my kids.

I did makeup for a bride and her mum and when the bridesmaids saw the bride they asked me to do theirs too. Frantic morning but I made £120 more than I thought I would. Then I had my hair done and was nervous when I saw it was the super young, just graduated stylist but she did an awesome job and charged me half what I'd normally pay.

Good day :-)

Yesterday I had a great 14 mile run, drank beer, and made a delicious pizza!

After three days of not turning on at all my computer turned on again, and the internet looks a lot better than it did on my phone.

I love my kids so hard, and today they were all at home at the same time.

I go to see my oldest this weekend! It was great.

I mean the trip to the in-laws reunion was okay, but the best part was seeing the kiddo!

It was interesting.

My sister-in-law has some quirks around money and won't let the money people handle it. (Vyapti is the financial directer for an NPO, I think he can budget a family reunion)

We did find an amazing beach!

It's 100% official! We got our house today!

The past few days have been super stressful due to some last-minute shenanigans and I was so, so worried it wasn't going to happen, but everything was worked out just in time!

I'm so excited!!!

My line manager encouraged me to leave work earlier than I was expecting to, so I got home at a sensible time. I usually have to work until 7pm to do some boring but time-dependent task, but she was staying late anyway and I have a few hours owing so she told me she'd do it and I should run free!

this is going to sound insane, but re-scheduling my dentist appointment for a time I can actually go and only have to wait another 2 days past original appointment time. I haven't been to a dentist in 6 years, just got insurance again, and am paranoid about my teeth so I'm pretty stoked to get all the fillings I'm sure I need!
I'm a crazy person!
whee!

My chamber choir started rehearsals again! It was getting close to 3 weeks since any of my groups had a rehearsal and I was starting to lose my marbles!
