I saw the boy I like! And then accidentally squealed a little. And then it was just awkward.

The little boy I babysit on Fridays didn't have to have even ONE time out today. He didn't push or hit or kick the Emperor even once. AND he took a nap. This is nothing short of a miracle.

Most wonderful 5 hours volunteering at the children's hospice. There was this amazing little girl and we made Halloween crafts and watched high school musical. I am full of happy, warm fuzziness.

Cleaning the house after the builders finished their work yesterday - it's clean again, yay!
Oh & packing for our trip to Edinburgh tomorrow, I'm really excited, we're going to a vegetarian wedding and then staying in a fancy hotel.

I made Vyapti's cashew alfredo for dinner and it turned out great! (meaning my picky daughter ate her entire serving)

We spent the day at Burg Forchtenstein: And then found vegan melanges in a village cafe. It was so interesting, and I got a little obsessed by the Esterházy family. And this morning, we discovered that the parents still have Speculoos from Veg-Eric and it is so so so good.

The best thing was definitely the start of Vegan MoFo. It's my first time participating (I didn't have a blog this time last year). I spent so much time browsing other blogs (OMGs the pics, the recipes!), and I got lots of hits (thank you so much, MoFo team, for linking to my blog in the announcement post!) and really nice comments from other vegan bloggers. And to think that this is just the start! I love Vegan MoFo already.

I was told today that I am deploying in April(training puts my leave date end of Feb, though). I am conflicted whether to put this in the Best or Worst thread. I want to leave this place, and I kind of want to stay so I can go to school.
Invictus, you may appreciate this, I'm coming to Iraq with you! I'll send you a PM.
