The best part of my day today was having nowhere to go. No school, no work, no clinic hours just cook, clean and write. It's been lovely.

After hearing from my friends that they were bailing out on me and some great plans and feeling sad for a couple hours, they called and were like, you are obviously invited and we went to a concert, then a bar and sang karaoke! And now I have a karaoke high! It was so much fun and realizing my friends weren't bailing, just changing our plans was the best.

Waking up knowing I don't have to paint today and sitting on the couch, being snuggled by one of my cats.

One of the vets I work with told me that I deserve to be happy and doing well in school because I'm a really nice person. *tear*

I went to the greatest bookstore today. Tons and tons of old books, lots of reading nooks with comfy couches, and free tea! I don't even drink tea, but I was still excited. And the lady who ran it was super nice and complimented my choice of books. I pretty much wanted to live there.

I got the sweetest voicemail ever right around the time my ridiculous day was going to make me cry. Hurrah!

I had to go to the hardware store to buy some bits and pieces for my Halloween costume, one of them was some dowel. The only piece we could get was about 3 metres long and didn't fit in the car. Instead of snapping it in half like I suggested, Boyfriend arranged it so that most was in the car and some was pointing straight out of the driver's side window. We decided that it resembled some kind of 'car jousting' and spent the drive home jabbing it at oncoming cars (in a totally safe way).

Turns out that we don't need expensive toys, a really big stick is just fine.

I spent all day at a no-budget SciFi film shoot. It was mostly waiting around between takes, and I didn't have any lines, but I got to use a "weapon" that looked almost like a sonic screwdriver.

Curling up in a chair with a book, drinking a fancy asparagus espresso drink I made myself, and listening to a gentle ambient mix mingling with the sound of the rain falling outside... all while holding my dude's hand while he did the same. D'awwww, romance. Nerd romance.

When I was out for a walk, I met a very handsome deer. He stood in the middle of the road about three meters away, chewing grass or something. I said "well, good afternoon to you, good sir", he looked me in the eyes for a few seconds, then he silently walked away. So cool.

yesterday my friend had a birthday picnic which was really great. Lots of food, basketball and catching up with people.

Today the best thing so far has been lying in on a Monday. I love public holidays!

I spent the day volunteering at an animal shelter. It was only my second day. I played with cats and kittens for two freaking hours. It was amazing.

Then I got home, showered, and had three more cats to play with!

(Thank goodness I can't find the "What did you hate most about your day" companion to this thread.)

This has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but when on earth did I say that which is in your sig, c&s?!! Not that it doesn't sound like something I'd say, but I have no recollection...! Also, no one has ever sigged me before, so I guess that's a good part of my day? Even though it shows how gross I am...
