Got offered 2 jobs (1 yesterday 1 today) and have accepted one of them. Hooray. Now I need to find somewhere to live that allows pets which is probably going to be more tricky than getting the job!

I'm on vacation and drove from Chur to Arosa in Switzerland and back again two times. I think I didn't have this much motorcycle related fun since I rode the dragon.

Thanks, guys! I had been dabbling in veganism for the two or so years before the official day, but since I worked at a cheese counter at the time, it was really hard to avoid (product knowledge and all that jazz). I knew I'd have a good 2 months off work, so I decided to really make it stick this time, which it has. I'm way more proud of myself for being vegan than I am for beating cancer. It may sound silly, but I know I can kick cancer's asparagus three ways from Sunday. That hospital stay has also inspired me to finally decide on a career. The vegan options were practically non-existant, so I'm going back to school to eventually become an RD and help hospitals develop menus for vegan patients.
A humongous thank you to everyone at the PPK for being a constant source of inspiration and love. I probably wouldn't be doing this without this crazy forum. You've changed my life for the better, for sure.
I have a best thing from yesterday. Well, yesterday was pretty much the best thing about yesterday. We had a team build for the Specialty department, and it was an awesome, awesome time. We went to Koval (amazing local distillery) for a liquor tasting, then to PAWS (Chicago's biggest no-kill animal shelter) to play with some animals, then to Half Acre (awesome local brewery) for a tour. Then I hung out at my friends' house where I took a shower, since it was super humid, and I rode about 22 miles yesterday. The night ended with our team renting out this little bistro in Boystown for a 5 course dinner and TONS of wine. The dinner itself was disappointing from a vegan perspective, but the wine and fabulous company more than made up for it. It was a giant love fest.
I love my team!

I saved a turtle! I was driving and he was in the road, and he was little so I didn't see him until I was just about on top of him, but he was between my wheels so I figured he was ok, and as soon as it was safe I pulled over and ran back and moved him.
So satisfying.

Yay pastabake for saving the turtle! They are so cute.
I'm eating chocolate rum pudding cake while in a post-climbing semi-exhausted state. Bliss.

2 hour couch nap. My older kid napped for an hour then played quietly for an hour while his brother and I slept. It was glorious.

Went to the first meeting of this group a friend of mine started, a group specifically aimed towards gay/bi/fluid trans men and gay/bi/fluid cisgendered men who have a romantic/sexual interest in trans men. The point of the group isn't specifically for hookups or dating, it's to create that subsection within the gay male community for those whom already have these appreciations for each other shall we say. It was awesome, only six guys, but half were cisgendered and complaining about how hard it is in the gay community it is to navigate this actual preference to trans guys they have. So cool to be around that! Also, funnily enough, afterwards we went to the weekly trans/genderqueer night at the local soak & sauna place... so we all got naked and sauna'd and hot tubbed. We were all perfect gentlemen, I swear, nothing sexual about it (at least nothing except maybe in our imaginations). A couple of them were quite sexy, too. Anyways. WOW so weird. And while I was naked some customers from my work were all "HEY! It's the flower guy from New Seasons!", so now a bunch of customers have seen me naked (and I them).

So satisfying. You're the best. So many people wouldn't even think to do this.
