that sounds so dreamy, fee! i get so jealous when people talk about looking at houses. the only way i'll ever own my own home is if i trade in my car for an rv. or a yurt.

I would've never thought as many opportunities were out there for people to buy homes, but it turns out that I'm going to be able to get a portion of the down payment as a bond from my parish because I'm poorish, then renting out one of the rooms, I'll be paying so much less overall. When I actually went over the numbers I wished I wouldn't have sunk as much as I did into rent, but then again I never wanted to commit to this city for five years but loving my job kind of changed that.

A deli I order food from for work keeps sending me gorgeous olives as samples. I don't even recall this particular variety's name, but they were perfect green olives stuffed with just barely pickled garlic, with lemon and spices in brine.

GED got the grant!!!!! I have my job back--whew! I start Wednesday.
I've still lost a month of income, but once I recover from that, finances will be ok this year. Plus, I LOVE that job and my students.

Yesterday, I got a new (to me) bike AND my partner's sister gave birth(I'm an auntie!). And I got to ride my new bike, and eat Thai food for lunch and work on job apps and make dinner and drink cider with my sweetie.
I had a really good day. Beat that, Tuesday.

The cute guy I work with gave me a ride home from school today. This had several awesomes: 1. He's cute, 2. the car smelled really good, 3. he was doing an adorably awkward flirty thing, and 4. I didn't have to walk!

Went on an easy 10 mile/1.5 hour ride west on the Greenway. Avoided running over an unleashed out of control dog. Got lost. There are some beautiful places within 5 miles of my house.

What happened?? i am being dramatic, perhaps, but it felt like a deathmarch..... mr T has a serious UTI that as of yesterday still hadn't responded to antibiotics (he's been feverish and unable to stand up since Friday). So yesterday not only did I have my entire workday, but also all the paperwork/computer stuff at the shop that has been let to slide since Friday.... suppliers howling for payment, his car's registration is out of order and he got several tickets for it.... the guys at the shop have been watching porn on the computers AGAIN and got that stupid Win32 virus AGAIN and so they can't use the computer system to bill clients, all of which i need to fix..... oh, and had to run the kid back and forth to school, and keep her entertained while i do all this. And yesterday was a heavy translation day, OF COURSE..... Today Mr T woke up looking almost human again, and actually got up and got dressed and brought the kid to school. So hopefully the antibiotics have finally kicked in, which would be my best thing for today. Here's hoping they keep working.

Wow, Torque. That was a boatload to deal with. I'm glad Mr. T is doing better. I've heard that as awful as UTI are for women, for men, they are much, much worse.
Can you install a lock down filter on the work computer?

i need to figure out how to do that - it's been on my list for a while and just keeps getting pushed back to the bottom. after this last infection though, i need to do something. the machine, seriously, is slower than slugs, like maybe 256mram? i can't believe the porn is even watchable. we used to use leechblock on FF for the kid, but these guys only use IE, which i haven't used in years and have to get edumacated about.
and just cause it's fun, i did a history search just to see and they actually weren't looking for porn, they were looking for wiring diagrams for a volkswagen bus, and there was VW bus porn that must have somehow been appealing on the same page.

My shiny gorgeous new stainless steel pots arrived today, thanks to a certain PPKer whose unbelievable generosity has saved me from having to buy cheap crepe right before MoFo. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to say who it is, but that person knows who they are, and...holy shiitake, I'm so grateful right now I might burst. :)

Clean house! I love it when my house is clean. Oh, and fresh, clean sheets on the bed.
This makes me sound silly, but I feel so much better when the house is clean.

I am visiting my mum and dad and there are Field Roast sausages, Tofurkey tempeh, Earth Balance, soy milk, nooch, chips, and tonnes of veggies in the kitchen. My mum also pre-made vegan soups and vegan curry. She is so awesome.

I did all my homework, went shopping for stuff to have after my wisdoms come out, got pepperdews from cute guy at work, and my anxiety has subsided at last.
