I quit my afternoon job middle of last month because I really wasn't enjoying the work or the work environment. My morning job doesn't give me enough money to live on, but I started getting a few hours at a local museum.
I was a bit anxious about whether there would be enough to cover my deficit but today I signed up for a few hours every weekend next month. After the 18th I'll have my afternoons free, and I'll be able to saunter to the museum (which is 5 minutes up from my house and doesn't open until 10am on Saturday or 11am on Sunday) and have a nice easy time smiling at people and telling them made up stories about dinosaurs and I'll be able to afford to eat the month after!

I was a bit hungover so I took a steam shower (my parents have one! Whoa!) and just sat in child's pose for 20 minutes until I felt not only human again, but amazing.

Simultaneously best and worst: had a big, tough, relationship conversation with my love, and talked through some stuff we've both been ignoring about our relationship for the best part of this year. We've recommitted to being as open and honest as we can with each other, and whilst I am sad about a bunch of the stuff that came up, I feel so lucky that they are still in my life and that both of us really want to be together.

I just got ordained as a minister online.
Most of my knowledge of how priesthood works comes from The Vicar of Dibley or Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e. So, I eat lots of chocolate, hang out with quirky people and smite the undead. I've been doing two of those things for years, so the other should come pretty naturally, right?

Go, bun!
My best thing is that I managed to get my application for the education program at my school in, and got home early enough to take my time eat a proper lunch before work. This is also my worst thing because I'm going to spend the next two weeks panicking about not getting into the program.

Coming home to find my flatmate had bought me the new Bob Dylan album as an early birthday present (it is fantastic by the way).

Yesterday: afternoon nap with biker boy. He texted me about 3 that he was home from errands and I should head over any time. By the time I got there at 3:45ish, he'd fallen asleep watching football. I came in and asked him if he was awake, he mumbled, "Not really" and lifted up the blanket so I could snuggle in with him, and was snoring 5 minutes later. I thought I was just snuggling on his shoulder and watching football but next thing I knew it was 5 and the tail end of a different game was on. It was nice because he's not a snuggly sleeper so usually when we share a bed, there's a wall of covers between us.
Today: I'm back at strength conditioning after over a month away from it. My core is going to beg for mercy, but I need it!

There's a film festival here soon. One evening they're showing all the episodes of a mini series (Parade's end). Benedict Cumberbatch will attend, AND SO WILL I.
