ooh update- it would appear my ginger beer went alcoholic!! i'd say it's a bit more punchy than the crappy Brazilian beer i usually drink. tastes a hell of a lot better, that's for sure.
(so much for getting another few pages translated tonight. i'll be lucky if i can walk to my bed, considering the three large glasses i've had in the last hour or two)

The Craft/But I'm a Cheerleader double feature, featuring four bottles of wine split between three people, kale chips and sweets from Back to Eden.

Amma in Berlin! 4 days in Her sweet sweet presence, doing seva with a young vegan chick (17) who talked her mom into being vegan, too. (I found out later from her mom that she had done the same thing to her parents herself when she became vegetarian 30-some years ago.)

I think we need The Craft/But I'm a Cheerleader, wine, kale chips and sweets, and cheezy garlic rolls.
I will settle for wine and cheezy garlic rolls.
Hmm... I wonder if I could do something lazy with crescent rolls. . .

Finally sort of feeling kinda maybe okayish about my hair being chopped off, and I'm planning stuff for our NYC trip in November and I'm feeling more settled in my new office. Upward, onward.

I am still traumatized, but sloooowly feeling like I may not die about it (dramatic, yes, but my hair is super important to me). And thankfully, being vegan makes my hair grow really well for some reason.

They also make your armpit and leg hair grow faster though, so that's kind of annoying.

Riding my motorcycle in the rain! I'm glad it was only 3 blocks cuz I got soaked (had to move it so I don't get towed for street cleaning tomorrow morning). It was neat hearing the raindrops on my helmet. Maybe I will get some raingear.

Today is new computer day! The insurance company paid out enough to cover both computers that were stolen in the break-in a couple weeks ago, minus the deductible. I just ordered one from the Apple store for pick-up, so I'm getting it today. My old one was 3 years old and the warranty was about to expire. It's almost like they did me a favor.
I've severely missed my Macbook. I'm so excited!

I solved the riddle of what to get my parents for their wedding anniversary in one easy conversation with my mum! Usually they say they don't want anything (and it's probably true!) but my dad fractured his leg and is stuck in bed and finding holding a book difficult so I got them a Kindle. Just the one though, because it looks like a better one is coming out soon, but it sounds like my mum had been having a low-grade hankering for a while. I hope they will find it easy enough to set up.
