I am home from being away for work and I didn't have to be in the office until midday. It was 3 very long, hard days and I ache all over, but it was great to sleep in my own bed and wake up late today. And watch Jeremy Kyle with a sausage sanger!

I froze a carton of Whole Soy lemon for exactly the right amount of time. I'm not sure how long it was, maybe two hours? Three hours? It's the perfect soft frozen yogurt consistency. Delightful.

I'm going to the high school to see the annual Music Family concert, which is where the marching band, chorus, select choir, and jazz band perform for their families. This year, I'm in the family section! So no work on my part. Very excited!

getting to see a Tara Donovan, Albrecht Durer, Kathe Kollwitz and bunch of other amazing prints up close without any glass around them todat. also, generally getting to hang out with friends in boston and like, learn more about people I didn't know super well, and just everything in general, I am so stoked to be alive and around and studying art with these people and and and life is just great, even the shitty stuff is great because it makes me appreciate the less shitty stuff with greater vigor.
(yes, I am exhaustingly peppy to be around sometimes, sorry i'm not sorry)

Gah, you got to see one in person! I only got slides and glossy pictures in a lecture theatre. I mean, nice photos where you can see the detail enough for me to be in awe, but I can't even imagine seeing it in person!

Sitting by a warm fire, goodnight text from crush with 5 different complimentary adjectives in a row to describe me, RuPauls Drag Race and champagne with my bestest friend, eavesdropping on my roommate's boyfriend reading her Harry Potter aloud for multiple hours... Life is good.

My crush and I hung out for lunch. She brought some curry she made and we shared it :3 It was sooo good - lentils and cauliflower and sweet potatoes and some extra curry magic.

I just finished my first commissioned art project since moving into my new place, and it feels SO. FORKING. GOOD. Seriously, it's been too long, and now I'm feeling back to normal. /sigh/

My afternoon job workmates got me a leaving present even though I told them not to because I've only been there 8 months and that was half time. It was a copy of The Thrifty Forager by Alys Fowler. I'd never heard of her, but according to one of my colleagues she's been on TV and we would get on really well together. They also got me a bunch of flowers with big daisies in, which I like.

I'm going to see live music for the first time in over 3 years! Well, in 2 months. But we have tickets and that alone is exciting enough.

I mean, you know, I'm a little excited. That is so so so cool! I have been missing having a piano for ages (technically I have one that was given into my care by my Grandmother, but it's been in my Dad's care for a few years now because I haven't had long-term housing situations. Also, I'm now living in a different state).... I'm planning on buying myself an electric piano at the end of next year. Anyway, I am slightly jealous, but mostly really really happy for you! You're gonna have so much fun playing your very own piano!

Hey... That makes me wonder... What ever happened to my Casio? Hmmm...
Best thing? Thinking about my crush obviously. Duh. Oh and I was the most sober of my friends tonight so I was on separating the pumpkin sends from the brains and guts duty (actually pretty much on everything duty) and I couldn't stop thinking of my crush and it started really turning me on; like what if we made a porno with pumpkin guts? Um yep.
